I feel that there should be compensation for this oversight due to the community wasting resources searching for multiple copies in chests, due to its third trait changing having multiple copies has made that third trait virtually redundant with a duplicate or duplicates.
I believe this change is a just stop-gap measure. Once they fixed the underlying issue that cause crash, maybe they will change the trait back.
You mean with the game literally hanging/crashing when the trait activates? That sounds like a fairly big “no”.
The NEW 3rd trait doesn’t crash and it’s seemingly better than the original 3rd trait. So please just keep the change.
I think the ask is for the new “temporary” trait to stay, instead of them reverting it back to the original, once the bug is sorted.
Hey all, after the feedback we’ve received we’ve decided to leave Groevanga’s new trait instead of changing it back to the original one once the bug is resolved.
As this Trait is a buff and it stacks if you have multiple copies of Groevanga on your team, Troop refunds for Groevanga won’t be available in your Troop collection menu.
We will release a different new Troop with the original Trait later on after the bug is fixed.
Thank you for taking our feedback into consideration and letting us know about the current situation. This is the type of communication that will help make this game more enjoyable for everyone.

“The feedback”, singular? It does feel rather odd how feedback only tends to be taken into account whenever it supports the stance that nothing at all has to be done.

Is there any specific reason you won’t even allow those players to respec that don’t consider the new trait a buff in every regard? It’s not like they are gaining anything from it they didn’t have before, they may just want to commit their resources to better areas now that you’ve changed the deal.

My apologies if this comes off as entitled. But if it’s not too much trouble. Could the troop that presents new mechanics be tested prior to release please?

According to the description this crash was difficult/unreliable to reproduce so I can understand how it slipped through … but historically, bigger problems have definitely “slipped through” to release…
It wasn’t difficult to make the game crash and it didn’t take very long to find out that it was causing crashes…
The only thing it had going for it was that it was unreliable to make it crash on command.

I agree, the spell typically makes 10 or so GGGs, and exploding 4 will often leave many out.
Thank you for keeping the trait. It plays a lot better with what the troop is trying to do. The more I play with it, the more I’ve come to appreciate the (new) 3rd trait.

I have to be real honest and say I had zero crashes with it in original form. No clue why. But for me at least, it was indeed difficult to make it crash. Just being real.
