A New Mythic Approaches – Aguara

New Mythic Troop: Aguara Aguara will be the only Mythic Troop available in Glory, Gem, Guild & VIP Chests for the next 7 days.

This troop sucks.

There, I said it.

This mythic is trying to do too many things at once while not focusing on a unique enough aspect to make it stand out. The fox in sox reference will be forgotten as People most likely won’t even use this guy in Underspire (thanks Stellarix and Fenix).

You can use The Empress to buff stats easier for your damage source without being a liability. You can use WoS and other mana accumulators to distribute mana more efficiently. There’s a niche scenario where you can keep giving barrier to everyone while filling Aguara over and over again with 3 of them, but Finesse does that much more efficiently while buffing up it’s stats and dealing respectable damage.

It’s like Shabanu Vespera and The Turquoise Emperor had a baby fox after an abusive relationship.

Totally agree. A legend does it better n has an extra turn chance

Which troop?

He’s probably talking about The Empress.

It requires a troop like Stellarix to be in the last spot, but Aguara takes up 3 mana colors, doesn’t have an extra turn chance, and the spirit gem can be a liability. The Empress also gives a bit more stats (1.0× compared to 0.75× magic).

Is it fun to boost stats with Aguara? Sure. But Shabanu Vespera is already like that. If you made a team of WoS/The Empress/Leprechaun/Stellarix, you would have a more enjoyable time of making stats skyrocket than trying to fit this allen wrench of a mythic into a team.:wrench:

and here I was led to believe from Youtube that it was an amazing new mythic!

After having some time to mess with it, I’m pretty indifferent to this troop.

I think of Aguara exactly like I think of Midwinter Lycanwolf. An almost useful troop held back by a bad troop design (ML: curse gems, Aguara: spirit gem) that’s “balanced” by Wand of Stars.

I can appreciate a team buffer, even if I don’t know when I’d use it…

This just shows how those 3 tier-0 troops/weapon blast every other troops into oblivion.
Aguara, in my opinion, is a tier-2 mythic. Not very strong (thus not tier-1), but far from useless. That is, if we pretend those tier-0s don’t exist.

Well I buffed my Stellarix to 3000 magic with a few casts just because I wanted to.

It’s still pretty useful in my setup, but I can understand why people see it less useful than Wand of Stars or troops like Stellarix, Gray King or even Tesla. Always using only them gets boring after a while though …

Short: I like Aguara.

Yeah i was harsh on this troop when i first saw its stats n traits if i didnt have all the troops it might have feature in a couple of builds to boost damage on other. I played with it in first slot and it was “fun” for five minutes or so, but all in all a pretty weak mythic.
If i could say anything that i found annoying they should really alter it to stat booster as the default choice of spell.
