Cant agree with you more about the selector button. Honestly, unless you’re viewing your tv in optimum conditions ( a dark room) its harder than heck to make out what is highlighted. Ive clicked on so many wrong buttons because of this.
Do NOT hide buttons that are needed daily behind an extra click: PvP, Games, Guild. For the love of god, hire a person who actually knows something about UI design.
I hate you… I f*ing cannot unsee it now !!!
This update is so ugly. It is hideous, more cluttered than before, and utterly unnecessary. And this so soon after the disastrous card “redesign.”
Proposals of future design “improvements” should be put to a community vote, where hopefully some of these fiascos could be avoided.
This company needs to display some genuine humility, acknowledge and revert their failures, and stop fixing things that aren’t broken. Instead, they are pissing off their customers over and over and over again. Why?
My game seems to save, which of the two bottom folders I was last in, and opens that one again at next launch.
If you’re playing on PC, make it a habit to exit through Escape, and not the settings menu, so that you don’t have to switch that bar.
though you are correct with that info:
why removed gold per hour and glory from the world map?
why keys now show 999+ instead of whole or no number?
why you can’t still search shiny troops and still have shiny tokens now in two places in non-alphabetical order and still have to have in mind what is needed for lvl1-3?
why is there still not enough space to fully show the troop types on cards?
and the new design is really bad on mobile (okay on PC), sometimes i can’t click on kingdoms for explore, cause they are blocked from all these icons - ridiculous!
I like the quick access to the main events. The left side isn’t too bad, though the color is meh.
The right side is a bit much, the giant path button is very off putting.
I think it would not look as bad in the old color.
What I don’t get is why we have rainbow barf cards and 70s brown/yellow map icons now.
I can deal with this redesign much better then with the cards one though. At least there is some use to this one. The cards just made them less easy to use, just like the new pause menu that hopefully gets fixed soon.
Could the class trial get its actual name and not be called just “event”?
Not sure if it’s a bug or not…
So wait did they do nothing to address issues with the underworld UI?
The Fire update for this change just came through today. My visual reaction is that the game is unplayable. The screen is so busy with useless icons that it hurts to look at the screen. I am a long time player and a daily player but my visual reaction is so bad that i can’t stand to look at the screen. Looking at the screen, I do not want to play the game. If it can’t be reversed, at least make this new layout optional.
What this person said… Please pay attention
Escape brings up the settings menu, what are you talking about? And no, it’s not saved, which is why it’s super annoying. Why would I need settings and calendar menus on a daily basis?
Ffs was this really needed? I think im done…
Please, consider making this
the default option.
Yes, the game does remember which tab I used last and switches to that on next launch…only until daily reset.
When a new day starts this
is what it always looks like (and those are not the things I need to use daily the most).
Please make it so that clicking on the pop-out, for example for adventures, takes me to adventures.
Button is fine but you can assume that if I click on the adventures pop-out then I want to go to adventures.
To be honest, I often don’t. Especially with 150 colour troop tasks, it’s nice to have a very brief look at where I stand, and at least two or three times a day, I simply look if I have not forgotten to do adventures.
This game really needs a central to-do-list.
You misunderstood - the pop-out is what comes up when you click on the button.
Then there is another button “take me to adventure” but I often click on the “picture” (pop-out) to go to adventure.
The first click brings up that overview showing kills and tasks advancement. I click that to check, too.
But when I the click on that thing (the pop-out) and not anywhere else I want to go to adventure.
That would be nice, yes.
This new interface is NOT accessible. Accessibility is in the for-front of all game development today.
I have vision challenged members in my guild who have issues - again - with the new interface.
As a Microsoft Ambassador with a specialty in accessibility I appeal to your developers to be much more sensitive to this population. TYIA
Not being in alphabetical order really surprised me - haven’t tested to see if is just a random database return or they’re just appending records as new troop are added or what. So unfriendly for players.
Also they should be listed under troops menu and taken out of inventory. I suspect that has to do with not wanting to mess with older parts of the code. Yuck.
