7.2 Update: UI Feedback

One more thing… from the communications we got about the update, I assumed the update was to get rid of floating random icons. So, why is the Android achievements icon FLOATING next to the messages icon? Why can’t it go back to the bottom of the right-side of the screen again, back where it was…?

At least this was either fixed before release or was a false alarm for the build the preview was on.
I like this side of things now, maybe it should be scrollable so I can click underspire too

would be nice if there was a little marker on them letting you know you had sigils to use for them, but yea, loks nice. I really dislike the popout for campaign/adventures though, theres just something about them that looks off.

Having played for a bit now, I would say, the shadows on the edges of the screen next to the icon bars are an issue.
Make it feel like my periphery went blind, and kind of strains my eyes over time with the sharp contrast to the bright map.

Just me?

Haven’t had eye strain from it, but the shadows definitely make it feel more… Encroaching?

May I instead suggest to move heroes path to the right, chat to the middle, and make that one bigger? I think, of the three in the top bar, that’s the one of highest interest most of the time.

I barely ever use chat, and I’d still much rather have it front and center than Hero’s Path :joy: Hero’s Path is just pointless for level 1000+ players, in my opinion. Never past 1000 have I grinded hero experience (not talking about class experience). The double experience means nothing to me. I wish I could turn the Hero’s Path button off, or at least move it from being one of the biggest buttons on the screen.

I try to get the double XP just because. And it is probably useful for newer player… But the icon is excessively huge.

another point: must it be diamond icons left and right? Imho there’s a lot of space wasted above and left+right of the symbols! Make everything a circle, like at the bottom, reduce the padding (there’s a lot of black around the bottom symbols) and save some pixels for each icon, it sums up!

The underworld switch even has the upper corner capped already, likely to support my opinion! :rofl:

Someone called it “2000s design” in another thread. I would not agree. The thing, I associate with internet game design of the early 2000s, would be a text-based menu sidebar instead of thumb sized buttons scattered all around.

… I wonder, if that would look better. I sure could live with it.

the top isnt centered with the bottom and it’s bugging me more than it should :face_with_monocle:

edit: after checking again, it looks like the top is centered on screen, but the bottom isn’t due to the addition of that double circle scrolling thing to the right of the guild icon, that pushed everything on the bottom slightly to the right to balance, but in doing so… it looks off balance in relation to the top now

Most icons are larger now and is taken more space on the screen than before. Overall is this design not an improvement.

So now you have a shop icon AND made sure your Halloween offer, Heroic Booster offer, Shrines offer, “Offer” offers, mobil add offer in on the right side of the screen - I am glad you didnt also made them flashing :roll_eyes: It made totally sense that you put troops, pets, weapons , banners and classes under 1 icon called “Collection”. It would make just as much sense to make 1 icon called shop or offer and put all your money deals there​:clap::+1:

At the same time it feels like the social aspect is being hidden/made smaller- isn’t important for you because there must be more room for “offers” :roll_eyes: Guild Icon is in second row - Chat icon is tiny and next to a huge Exalted Path icon - way to big.
Medal icons should be centered again and put Exalted Path to the left replacing current Raid Boss Icon. Guild events should only be in Guild menu and not have a seperate icon on the World map. Keep it simple - just like you did with ressources Wallet and Collection.
The right side is messy and have different icon designs - it is not an improvement.
Top with medals, Exalted Path and chat - it is a mess - different sizes. I don’t understand why Exalted Path has to be that huge and at the top - put it with Adventures - that would make sense to me.

your screen is different from mine, in pc/mobile in steam there is no scroll bar on right of the screen buttons like in the very first main screen image and i see on the left part of the screen a way to get into raid boss with a single touch of a button same with pet rescues , now should you really need that left side button for raid boss b/c raid boss is already in guild tab and pet rescue is already in games tab, also no amount of glory shown on map page, really that is no improvement. it seems to me every time the Devs add another feature and players find the old way of getting into events like this more programing mistakes happen. you are opening the door for not ease of game but to confuse everyone instead. Devs really need instead of a new update of the game bringing to us a new format of the game but their updates should be get the game working without so many bugs. I say this b/c many bugs will not be fixed till next update but next update will have even more bugs then before plus you really never catch up on the previous bugs. Now I know as well as whole community does know that if a troop or weapon that is released and it favors the gow community Devs can find their mistake faster then anything and nerf it so it r an like it supposed to but when a bug that hurts the community then the Devs cant find a solution at just a hasty pace, we always have to wait

I will also add my suggestions, if I may.

A - Hero
B - B1, B2, B3 medals
C - C1, C2, C3 messages, chats (resources just to be there)
D - glory, gems, gold, souls
E - E1 dungeon, E2 dailies, E3 campaign, E4 Underspire, E5 Tower/Boss/Doom/Journey etc
F - all that side for purchases, various goods for real money/gems/sea shell/ frog skins etc
G - mainly as are all sections
H - mainly technical part of the game, H5 - QUIT BUTTON!!!

Obviously, this is just a creation to show that all parts must be functional, easy accessible and must have clear purpose. All those alignments is just ideas.

P.S. if there is a need for so many buttons???..B/C can be slightly bigger; E/F/G/H can be slightly smaller.

Ah yes, I should add I play on an Android Mobile. And I did the pet rescue before I updated the game, but I can see on other screenshots that an icon for Pet Rescue is added to the left side - apparently that Icon disappear when you have done the pet rescue??

Stroganrog: While the layout seems more reasonable, I’m still feeling as surrounded and claustrophobic in your version as in what we got now. I need a bit of optical breathing space.
For phone users, those scattered buttons are likely practical, but on PC, I am reaching the point, where I would like them centered at some point of the screen. I’m willing to sacrifice the left or lower quarter.

I don’t care about how it looks. I care about having a functional game and mostly bugs free. Not constantly having issues and bugs.

Where are what we requested before and whatever you promised before?


Improvement list:


1. More options to resolve the Lack of Deeds and Books

2. Offers that help player progression (Promised long time ago)

3. Target specific Dragon boss’s crafting (Promised long time ago)

4. Improve Treasure Hunt mode (Promised long time ago)

5. Improve Arena again

6. Team specific class build with Team specific equipped medals

7. Treasure map better utilization

8. Increase of Soulforge pool to 8 troops instead 4 troops per rarity.

9. Fix the missing artwork on some troops. (Promised long time ago)

10. Quality assurance of a new product or new items before releasing them.

11. Having a way to monitor game functioning while the office is closed (weekends or holidays)

12. Better ways to communicate with Devs, submit feedback, support requests and other account issues.

13. Place a visual clock timer during Gnome a Palooza to enable us to monitor the time left.

14. Show bonus mana from talent or traits as it was before update 7.0

15. Bring back the missing Gold per Hour display (after this current update)

the whole game this new update effected in one way or another, no matter what you do in the game some of our already owned troops goes to unowned, right now have to reboot game for them to return to the owned parts , this even happens in explores, it happens in all aspects of the game, this needs to be fix right away. but your next update should not be anything new but all things fixed.
