Just fix your broken game before adding new things, itâs that simple.
Building a palace on top of a broken house would only make it break faster.
Lots of the ideas can and only will be good if you fix the long lasting game issues.
Limiting weapons and troops? Maybe not a bad idea if you make classes, weapons and troops from different kingdoms actually balanced and all somewhat useful. Otherwise it only makes things worse.
More currencies to spend and draw the gems bank? Maybe not a bad idea if you have implemented a way to get some old but extremely rare currencies like deeds and spend some old and completely useless currencies like treasure maps. Otherwise it only makes things worse.
Foundamentally, itâs because your designers donât play the game and donât listen to experienced players. You are probably being pushed by higher ups to introduce more new stuff. Its not wrong, just fix the game first. And to fix it, you need to understand how your game works, and you clearly donât. Then itâs still Ok, just listen to your experienced players! There are so so so many here even just in this post.
Iâm done.
Excellent point. As a veteran player, Iâm looking at how boring (and/or annoyingly tedious) it is to be shoe-horned into playing each thing a specific way. But at least I can do it. New players, especially new FTP or those in casual guilds, will really be hurting. Itâs almost as if that is by design.
I get the idea of wanting to beef up the whale bait, but at a certain point the game starts to cannibalize itself. Iâm not adverse to spending some money on games that I enjoy. If a game continues to remove everything I found enjoyable? Meh, not so much.
Newbies might fall for the spending trap, but it wonât take long to discover that they will never âcatch upâ because the goal posts change weekly and they already are behind years worth. So that wonât last. And continuing to restrict every activity down to this troop and that weapon, will make it so new people wonât get hooked the way vets got hooked. Meanwhile, what whales are left will find it less attractive with nobody left to feel superior to.
If they want to increase revenue, I have a great idea. Focus on providing value instead of paywalls. Put the micro back in micro-transactions and fun back into the game.
Yep, and itâs seriously killing my enjoyment of the game. I love experimenting and trying new combos. And yes there are still places I will be able to do that. But when? There is already no time left to muck around for fun. Itâs all event event event GW event event.
Okay, lots of news, definitely worthy of a major version number. Actual feedback pending, of courseâŚ
What about Delves?
Yes, I am going to be the outlier here and ask why does the Hero get to be (mostly) exempted from requirements imposed on every other Troop in these modes.
Implied that Switch may be getting the update concurrently, as that event is still scheduled for next week.
They care about the post-DigiBros acquisition that includes an incentive based on the gameâs earnings for (I think) the first 4 years after the acquisition.
This new monetization, with what sound like very real paywalls, is disgusting. There, I said it.
Are you losing players so quickly that you need to squeeze the rest of us even harder?
With that out of the wayâŚ
I love the âoldschoolâ weekly events like Invasion and Raid Boss, but they had to give those the middle finger too by bloating on a bunch more tiers to force us to use the âboost troopâ if we actually want to hit all the tiers. They turned events that were actually FUN into what sound like will be frustrating timesinks.
How in the heck are we supposed to establish guild requirements now? The guild Iâve been an Admin in for YEARS is based on âfair shareâ (or 1/30) event contribution, and it sounds like maintaining that is going to put the Admins in a very uncomfortable position. Sticking with 1/30 sounds like itâs going to force players to engage in slower/subpar play and turn these events into a timesink.
GMs/DevsâŚyou guys realize this isnât a MMO, right? This is a casual phone game. What made this game popular in the first place was the fact that it was a casual phone game that was super approachable as F2P. You could pick it up, play a half hour, and feel like you accomplished something. Thatâs addictive! The game is becoming irritatingly disrespectful of the playerâs time. Good thing everything has a shop stuck in it now so we can skip the frustration, eh?
nah. i have every possible kingdom at level 21 or higher. it becomes pay to win at pl 27,when you are blocked by deeds.
i have sunk money into this game- i bought two passes for world events, and thatâs it.
working as intended
mine too.but consider they neutered world event. now it can be done in the course of doing other things. so there is no week long event any more aside for guild wars and tower, except for the occasional legend or journey or season.
now we will have the generic do as you do other things world event, a spire, and a weekly event. this wonât be such a problem except for weeks they add a journey or a kingdom pass or a guild wars.
THEN it will be a big problem.
Itâs the shuffle of the pall bearers feet while juggling the coffin.
It looks like someone has parsed the entire forums history for negative comments on things like events and implemented them all.
The last thing we want is to force 30 players to do more. Simply ludicrous.
Waiting for 7.5 with guilds shrunk to 10.
err, they just added a whole new creative thing.
as for weapons in Raid Boss and Tower, you donât really need them. raid boss just needs the boss killer troop, the rest are cleanup
tower is trickier, but if youâre buying tiers for forge scrolls your team is powered enough to get to floor 25. itâs only gonna be a problem if you have to go much higher to get all tier rewards.
otoh, reintroducing towers into a rotation means more new doomed weapons. THAT would be a huge gem sink, since you need 3 or 4000 gems per tower event to max the new weapon, more to max the old weapons you hadnât, unless you wanna farm for orbs.
this 11 week tower rotation had me going back and maxxing all my doomeds.
is it? do we have numbers?
iâve been on the forums a while now.
so far, for the most part,t he game is keeping up w my mostly f2p style in terms on adding new content.
yet every content update i see most folks on the forums complaining that this is the end of the game.
for the past 2 years.
game isnât ended yet.
maybe yâall are right and gow is shedding players like flies. i donât keep track of that, so idk.
but while i got plenty of complaints- like the lack of war corgi in pet rescues- i donât think this update is all that horrible. it will depend on what the new tiers will take for guilds to complete.
if youâre forcing folks to pay $$ for guild rewards, that would be a bit much.
Tempering Doomed Weapons:
(Cursed weapons also need the same amounts of Forge Scrolls: 55 to fully temper.)
There are a few ways to fully temper a Doomed Weapon:
1. Gems + Reaching Floor 25:
You will need to buy all tiers plus tier 7 twice more and reach Floor 25.
Total Cost: 2,850 Gems
2. Gems + Reaching Floor 25 + Minor Orbs of Forging:
a. Buy Tier 4 (to get the Weapon), reach Floor 25 and use 3 Minor Orbs of Forging.
Total Cost: 500 Gems + 3 Minor Orbs of Forging.
b. Buy Tier 5, reach Floor 25 and use 2 Minor Orbs of Forging.
Total Cost: 850 Gems + 2 Minor Orbs of Forging.
c. Buy Tier 6, reach Floor 25 and use 1 Minor Orb of Forging.
Total Cost: 1350 Gems + 1 Minor Orb of Forging.
3. Gems + Major Orb of Forging:
I donât recommend this, because most of you will get to floor 25 when using the daily free sigils plus the ones you bought to get the weapon.
But⌠Itâs up to you Those Major Orbs of Forging are hard to come by.
Buy Tier 4 (to get the Weapon) + Major Orb of Forging.
Total Cost: 500 Gems + Major Orb of Forging.
Agree a dash or this a dash of that yikes.
Is it confirmed that underspire will be releasing tomorrow as opposed to the next weekly reset?
It is funny to see a lot of people complain without ever having seen it. I mean I expected the usual suspects. Granted, Iâm sure some of the complaints will be âvalidâ. âOh no, a new thing wants us to use gems.â I do hope the balancing will be relatively fair though. I can understand people complaining about bugs, but itâs weird to hear people complaining about content they donât want to play, but somehow feel compelled to.

Itâs a single player mode, like explore.
I noticed three issues here (steam):
Epic Trail button inside Games menu takes you back to Krystara without opening the current kingdom window;
Underspire is now available.
All 4 of your troops are at full mana there, FWIW. Troops at less-than-full mana do have current/max mana shown on the card on my just-updated Android.
iâŚi find myself hypnotized by the colors.
