7.0 Update: Underspire

Actually, it is on the torches/lanterns purchase screen.

Edited to confirm it’s not on the release notes.

Where i have my cursor is where the 6th boss was right behind the 6th stone.

If you move 4 spots up from my cursor and one left that was where the 5th boss was located to unlock the 6th room

Thanks, so yes then. Found someone else with the same on another thread, so I would guess that’s by design then, not just bad luck with RNG.

to pay that much for that less … 100% not worth it. Thanks for sharing

Sorry, I’m confused. For me, defeating the 5th dragon gave me the 5th keystone, which enabled me to go look for the 6th.

The final boss is the 7th boss you encounter total

Ok thanks so much! Everything I’ve seen said final boss didn’t appear until after 6th miniboss was defeated. Maybe I just haven’t found the 6th miniboss. I’ll try again tomorrow and we’ll see.

You are right, It is not in the release notes.
It is in the in-game help.

It also says so on the screen where you purchase the lanterns.

Sorry, my last experience is the opposite. I created a ticket (send 150 gifts but the max is 100 mails, I thought is the same of LTs and a couple on 1 single mail, but no). Jeto responded directly the day after (I’m in European area) solved the problem directly.
OK my problem before takes 1 year, and finish with 505 Games, but it was 1 year ago or more. With the update, the complaints, the Buggs, I got an answer and issue was solved quickly.

You were using lanterns, which show a larger part of the map. If you just use torches you’ll have to do quite a few more fights, because you can rule out less dead ends. Your numbers rather show that free mode players will likely fail the run, and they’ll only know at the end, after having spent 2100 gems.

finished the run. skipped dragons 1+3 this time, spent 400 gems on the merchant keys.
84 rooms cleared.
have 14 free torches next two days to hunt for those dragons.
spent 1300 gems total, paid no $$

it’s looking like it’s possible to spend no gems and get thru stage 4 easily, spending the 50 gems per day will possibly get you thru the whole thing if you are lucky.

i bought no trinkets, the final fights were roughly level 170-190 troops, doable with my team but w losses.

let’s see if i can post my map…[fiddles with computer…]

Looking at you map, that’s one hell of a lucky run. Probably like getting Dragonite from Dungeon three times in a row.

disagree completely.

my current goals as either approaching or at end game status is to get my cities pl up as much as possible. that requires deeds and medals.

major orbs of glory are extremely rare. i’d be happy spending 500 gems a week if it could get me thru stage 6 dragon for a lantern/2 major orbs of glory, plus the earlier orbs. imperial deeds i have a much easier time w, esp since you can buy them from merchant in explore or daily deals.

i think these are spectacular rewards even for a sunken gem cost.

for me, THIS week, i spent 1300 gems and came away with 1 imp deed, 2 epic vault keys, an orb of glory, 2 major orbs of glory, 20 diamonds, 2 minion orbs [chaos orb on stage 6 gave me one], plus the gems and orb of ascension and other things, and 50 dragonite.

that’s an excellent loot haul for that amount of gems, plus i can still possibly get a minor orb of glory and those writs for free this weekend.

it won’t always be possible to get all that on only 1300 gems, and i don’t plan on spending that much every week, but it’s still a great haul.

Just a reminder:
Being forced to buy, possibly maximize and use new troops and/or equipment in battle for weekly events from now on, pushing us towards higher tier purchases, is still an awful concept (plus my usual point of critic, that the drop odds for chests are getting worse with every new unit).

I know it is overshadowed by the horrendous graphic changes and, once we look past those, by the new cashgrab dungeon.
But it would be a shame, if it became forgotten over all of the other mess.

This is not a good update, and even if we get them to panic enough to change the graphic mess, it will not suddenly become one.

not JUST luck. i started upper left. i decided that upper left corner would be stage 1, so stage 2 would be to the right. i always headed towards where i thought the next stage would be. the two wrong paths i took, you can see on stage 3 and 5, wound up giving me the merchant and dragon, so they weren’t wasted.
plus i figured the dragon would be a ways away from the door, so when i found the door first i headed to the fork that took me farthest away.

stage 6 i went down first. when i found the dragon, i skipped that fork right above it and went up at the initial fork.

there was luck, but there were educated guesses driving it. plus i was intent on heading to the doors first, because i wanted a full run first time. i’m sure i won’t be this lucky again, but i won’t be trying as hard to get to the end. otoh i did it wout spending $$ in four days, next time i’ll have 7.

oh, god, yes. i’m okay with one forced troop per week, i think most folks will be able to handle a tag along and have a three troop team.
but every time they dilute the chest pool, or worse, the vault room troop pool, it makes it more impossible for newcomers to get the things they need to have any sort of meta game.

the game chat yest had someone talking about how they needed 5 devil tarots to forge that one weapon. they’ll never get that many from the vault.

hell, i had been saving up event keys to get one of the few mythics i still needed, the onyx giant.
i had about 2800 keys when stormheim came up a month or 2 ago. i blew threw all those event keys, got 3-4 mythics- all of them other mythics, no onyx.

i was not a happy camper.

Each to their own, but for most it’s going to be more viable to use a fast explore team to get medals. Those gems could be spent on a mythic shiny pet, other events, and merchant offers. The mythic shiny pet is arguably more useful and better value than one minor minion orb. And if you are in a guild that completes events you’ll get orbs over time anyway.

1000 gems for shiny pet
30 gems for one minor orb from weekly delve event
250 gems on an imperial deed from the merchant, or 2 x 150 deed purchases.

If you play a reasonable amount of explore battles then it won’t be long before kingdom levels (requiring books of deeds) are the bottleneck, not elite levels (requiring medals).
