What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened?
I was expecting a few high level Traitstones and I got a few magic runic. However I did get 27 land sharks. That seems a bit wrong.
What are the steps to make it happen again?

No sorry it was on a phone. But I do have a total of 92 land sharks.
Did you buy the “Gem Chests” or the “Event Chests”?
I suspect you bought the Event Chest, in which case this how it works. The Event Chest contains only a few troops in it at a time, giving you a very good chance to get multiple copies of those troops. It’s best used to get copies to Ascend a troop you really like, or to get the specific Legendary troop that’s available in a given week.
