There are enough people that are crippled by a disability from performing in today’s society and especially blocked from getting jobs. For these, games offer a way to get distracted from their limitations and feel like they are contributing.

As far as the guild update is concerned, I am seeing an influx of income from the tasks but we can not seem to complete much less exceed lvl 4 tasks. What i mean by that is our gameplay as a casual guild is doing what they can to complete tasks but after level 3 for some tasks the cost of gold outweighs what the incentive is. To this end those in high end guilds will still make more than low end guild however it seems like their play style is having an adverse reaction to the developers’ intentions. I dislike thinking of spending 40k or more to complete a task but honestly this new guild system has created a stop gap for players who like to play this game more than i. If someone plays this game more than 2 hours a day for 5 days a week, then they have effectively without knowing created a job for themselves, even though they are sorta not paid for it. Some poeple play games like they are jobs, even i do this with minecraft. I know the devs have talked about mythic tasks but i am not sure that will solve the problems that high-end players have. In someway i feel they will find a way to hit that limit again.

Another week and all guild tasks cleared in under 24 hours. Pretty easy for the top guilds to organise and do this. @sirrian how’s the review going? Any chance of more tasks for guilds to sink gold into?

No, seriously, count me among the ‘losing my drive’ crowd…
Completing them in 1 day is aided quite a bit by the fact you had 6 days to save after last weeks.
Cant say im looking forward to that guild system myself all the same. When mythics come out and nobody has enough keys/gems to unlock them; doesn’t sound like fun
