Discussion: Sexuality in GoW

Fantasy can’t be beaten by logic; it’s best not to try.

Are you feeling ok man? Should have put your feet up and had that beer :+1:

I find it particularly interesting how the internet has really enabled people to do this. No matter how unusual someone or their interests is, they can almost certainly find enough similar people on the internet to form a whole community. On one hand, nobody ever needs to feel alone, no matter how strange they are. On the other hand, nobody ever needs to feel alone, no matter how strange they are.

The problem is that humans are fundamentally social creatures, rather than rational or logical ones. Most people derive their values from their community, and, pre-internet, had to interact with people who were different from themselves. Thus, they had to develop tolerance – or exert the age-old classics of convert, exile, or kill. Now people can form their own communities to support their values without even leaving their homes, and it reduces the pressure to suppress harmful behavior or values. Everyone now has the option of deluding themselves into thinking that the majority supports their opinion, because they can find enough people who agree with them to fill their internal quota for determining “normal”.

Which means every possible permutation of human behavior has a place to grow, from the most noble and virtuous ideals we’ve ever conceived, to things so horrifying that most of us can’t even begin to imagine them.

If you’re going to dump links, you might as well dump a working one that has all the others linked from it, instead of making it appear that you did your own research.

Seeing as how you failed to check all the inks i posted here is a short video for you to watch instead. Also some of the links do not work, and some do.

There are literally two links that work. I put as much effort into reading as you did in dumping. Try harder next time.

Maybe the forum is not reporting correctly then because it counts how many times someone clicked a link, and most have 0 hits. That is my fault and i admit that if it is the case and i apologize, have you watched the video?

I watched the video when I found your original source.

Maybe we should talk about the beards of the man in the game too because this are the secondary sex characteristics of men. If we talk about unrealistic things this should be included. Cause the men in this game aren’t that realistic ether. But that’s never a topic if someone is talking about sexuality in games…

Except that beards are subjectively attractive and not a standard imposed over men like some standards that women had to endure over the centuries. Just recently people started with this “lumbersexual” tendency and some few men are now feeling less “manly” because they don’t have certain genetics to comply to this norm…

Any man who feels less manly for not having a beard is not a man to begin with. Instead, he is a tit.

Yeah that’s right but it is the same topic in regards to unrealistic display/presentation. And by admitting that some men are feeling less “manly” you already admit that my point proves valid.
And of course breasts are also subjectively attractive Because if this wasn’t the case we wouldn’t have a conversation about the size of breasts and about some breasts are to big …
And as a woman I can tell you I never heard anything about a breast norm.

I think we should talk about the beards of the women in the game too.

Impressive beard on her to be sure. I wanna lick it.

I don’t have the genetics, or the training, that allows me to be a good swimmer, but Michael Phelps doesn’t diminishes me as a person because i’m aware of how much i’m worth as a person.

The self-steem issues people will develop over the tendencies that are imposed on our society only proves that we are evaluating the aesthetics and dismissing the human being.
That is my point.
Shoving standards of how people are supposed to, look like, behave, eat… and that’s the issue.

I take you’re point seriously and I also think that not all is working out well in our societies. But that’s a social and educational problem which needs to be solved by people and not by some elves, humans, half-humans or vampires in a three match game. And that’s something people need to realize. There are real problems of discriminating all sorts of people in our world but none of some can be solved by video games and neither is this the task games need to solve.

Really? How can we make people proud, or at leat not ashamed of, their color/ethnics/bodies if all we have at media are “americanish” tall and thin/fit white blonde actors/actress? That’s the point of the representativity movement, it all need to start at some point. And why not with the cool stuff we love and that entertains us?

How could people complain about John Boyega at the new Star Wars movie? Why not a black actor could be one of the main characters? If people would complain about the movie being bad, childish even, i could understand it, but i can never understand about the color issue. But you know what? Thousands of kids loved the movie and the toys because they could see themselves as the main character.
I ask you again, why not? Why even our beloved match-3 game can’t be more concious and representative?
