I find it worse that there wasn’t a message of explanation or an apology. I spent a lot of time only to be erased. No compensation of any form only shows that they don’t care about user experience or time/effort. It’s eye opening.
I’d appreciate an apology to players for this absolutely huge mess tgey created. Remember they’ll be in today to address this but it might take time to figure out what to exactly do.

Same to you my friend. I think I added you on PS one time, years ago now. I actually lost most of my friends playing this game, but I found new ones through time and guild changes.
What was I gonna say, that I forgot earlier. I hope especially the ones that made a purchase that day get help first, other can wait.
I don’t think there is any compensation that will satisfy everyone.
I personally just want what I should have gotten in the library pass that caused this mess. If I buy something, I like to actually receive it. Funny quirk of mine.
I wouldn’t mind getting some of the gems back that I spent for the shortened ToD. I also wouldn’t mind getting the 60 star stones and the gold marks from the missing day. But as long as I get what I actually paid for, preferably some time this century, I’m not going to lose sleep over it.
If you CHOSE to spend money to go to a concert and the performer decided not to perform, should you be out the money and not get the experience? If you CHOSE to pay for a flight and the flight never happens, should you be out the money because you CHOSE to pay and were taking chances?
No. We choose to spend real money and/or time (which is a form of currency to people) for a game and we rightfully expect certain things to happen when we spend that time or money. This would be an absolutely terrible take as a business owner. The customers are how you make your money. You screw them over, you will lose customers, and their money.
In your own mechanic analogy- you agree that if they make a mistake, they OWE it to you to fix it. We are not going to get our time back that was committed, therefore proper compensation needs to be paid in other ways.

But as someone who is VIP 12 and 3/4… decisions like this to reduce the pass rewards by how much was already sent out only solidifies my decision not to waste another dime on GoW.
The early adopters are expected to check the forums to explain why they are being shorted. What they paid for was not delivered anywhere close to a timely manner. And instead of giving them more for investing in the new update as soon as possible. Extra lengths are done to make sure they are given the exact same. Or maybe even less Star Stones than had they waited until now to make the purchase. I’m still confused on that end.
Actions like this only promote waiting to spend money or not spending money at all.
We don’t - it’s like it is written - tripples the library rewards. I want it to be ad additional x3 rewards too, but it’s not, and it is just like it is stated in a pass description.
We have a 250 starstones within the compensation, it’s more than we loose, so it’s solid for me
And it’s trippled. It’s not said “get an additional x3 rewards”. But i understand it is written in a maner that can confuse a customer (i was confused too anyway)
