I thought yours was a great one and yeah a steal, but all the more praise to you for getting it. It was hardly a criticism.
I honestly completely hate the concept of trading. I would rather see:
- Every player has a static 15 points. There is no way to have more or less. Teams can be lower than 15 point total, but not higher.
- All picks are non-tradeable. Everyone gets 1 number that is used for an entire series. It is done in serpentine to make sure everyone is equal. Banner pick will be offset with a ban pick round to make sure there is an even number. Specific banners can be banned in the ban round instead of a troop ban as an option to offset the others who will have the reverse order on banner picks.
- A person’s initial number can be traded before any drafting begins, but it shifts all respective picks rather than individual picks.
That doesn’t sound anywhere near as fun.
I just find it extremely unfair that people can manipulate the serpentine method. The whole point of that method is to make sure everyone has a fair and evenly distributed pick. Strategy comes in knowing exactly when each player is going to make their pick. Trading completely skews advantage to whoever is spending the most time trading. Shiratori has delayed picking by over 18 hours total by now in order to try to get larger advantages for himself.
Agreed … another reason I wasn’t keen on doing it. Also I was offered a ‘deal’ where I lost a point to move up four places or something, uh no…
I mean, we’ve gone way faster overall than predicted, so on paper that means we shouldn’t be complaining, but …
I have no real response. If thats the way it ends up next time ill still play.
Here is some thing I would like to see:
Points can be used on your troops so you can ascend them. 1 point = fully ascended/leveled troop; this is interesting because it weighs in favor of non-legendary troops.
Get rid of banner picks and let anyone pick any banner - in all honesty, the banners are probably rarely even considered when people vote.

I have no objections against “stalling” as long as it is clear that the player is taking its time to consider his/her options. I have more problems when you have absolutely no clue if the player is pondering or is just doing some other things, ie not actively involved.

Many hours have gone by, and while none of us have been able to discern where we are, none seem to care overly much either. The Game is all they talk about. I can see why this has become such a great attraction, and truly my processors have become just as enamoured as the rest of these good folks.
I had tried to find the commish to let him know of the strange hooded figure that skulks about, but he seems to be an extremely busy man, and the figure seems to pose no threat. I will keep an eye on him regardless. It has been a busy day, lots of other team masters trading and thinking of strategy. I myself had to re-think my entire strategy a couple of times, and finally after much thought decided to listen to another team captain who desired to trade.
It worked out perfectly however, as now the Deamon I had defeated before in Khaziel is controlled by me once again. GORGOTHA joins my team!
Although this is great news, it also makes me change my plan YET again, I attend to play plan, and observe more fully the other teams. I now have the very last pick in the match, this should be interesting.

Actually there are two who have skewed trading to their advantage and those two have already made their third pick. Also as my picks came up i had the foresight to prep my story ahead of time and by the time my turn comes again i will nail my final troop. As for pacing, this pace is ridiculously fast, how can people digest this stuff this quickly?
Lets try to keep all this talk in the prep discussion guys. It’s probably pretty boring for the other forum goers.
I don’t think many, if any, outside of the draft are constantly looking at this thread to read every step of the process.

The cloaked figure re-materializes in the quarters of @Grimmorith, somewhere it did not plan for. It glances at it’s amulet, which is now faded from it’s usual glowing nature.
“I am the one who brought you here my sibling.”, speaks a voice from a dark corner.
The cloaked figure freezes in terror at the familiar voice, the voice that belongs to the presence the figure has been actively avoiding.
“I wanted to wait, but if you want confrontation, then I am prepared.”, the cloaked figure speaks, with a small shake in it’s voice. The unseen individual smiles ever so slightly, recognizing the fear in the cloaked figure’s voice. As the unseen individual raises it’s hand the door to @Grimmorith quarters bursts open.
Standing there, in full combat prepardness, is the Templar.
“My Liege! Intruders!”, shouts Templar, as he turns to vanquish the interlopers in his Master’s quarters.
He turns to an empty room, the voices now silent and no trace of any trouble.
