I doubt that explore mode is supposed to be significantly faster than grinding glory…

If I may… You can think of Arcane traitstones as 200-300 glory each. That’s fairly true for high-level players. If they drop 4.5% of the time in explore, that means that about every 25 games you are getting 200-300 glory. That’s an average of 10 glory per match. Better than PvP, in terms of glory/traitstone rewards. Lower gold, of course, but that’s why it’s called choices - because each has different strengths & weaknesses.
