Well i agree that the nerf for DD is overboard, it wasn’t really needed and i would have found the empowered->fast route more elegant for multiple reasons, but it is not as if Dust Devil before made for engaging or fun gameplay in any way.
It just made you not actually play the very core of the game, and instead just chain fire your spells.
Sure it was easy and fast but gameplay wise it was very idiotic to begin with.
I said class /scowl …
Uh, to anyone complaining about nerfs, I don’t know what you were expecting. Dust Devil was stupid. Sheggra was stupid. Celestasia was stupid, probably still is fairly stupid now to be honest.
Well, some of you guys are VERY good at finding the OP combo’s!
We really wish that we had more resources to devote to balance testing pre-release, and we DO test a LOT, but when companies with the size/power of Riot Games have similar problems with League of Legends, it’s probably beyond the scope of a smaller outfit like ourselves to get it right first time too.
We WILL try to do better in future though… it’s why we’ve added in the Refund now, so you can take Souls/Stones and try something else.
Regarding the Dust Devil himself… if you saw the data, his use had become SO overwhelming by everybody who had him, that it simply wasn’t healthy to leave him where he was.
Anomaly: I’m seeing Spring Imp in-game (not unlockable of course) with an 11 cost. The rest are 12.
???
Fixed now…
Thank you for the nerfs and balance changes. I appreciate your hard work. keep it up.
they did need some nerf, can agree with that. If they release it and I find it to work well, I am going to use it though.
yes get a refund sorta helpful, but still I farmed said arcanes for hours and hours that I may not even need/want afterwards though.
Just Frustrating, Do like the game and do Appreciate the constant work the Dev’s do.
The question now is where to put traitsone from refunding dust devil that I ain’t be using ever again.
I think the grind is taking it’s toll for competitive-minded souls like me. I’m too much focused on gaining trophies (the only competition in this game) and finishing tasks for my guild that nerfs like these lead to frustrations. I should not allow that and care less, it’s silly, and start focusing on trying to get the fun back in my game. I hope there will be competitions in the future where it is not all about playing as much as possible, which in my eyes is the real underlying problem here, for me.
Gorgotha? If your Gorgotha is already fully traited then you’re clearly swimming in enough arcane stones that the one or two it took are almost unnoticeable.
What’s in event chests during weeks without a kingdom? Are all ultra-rares and epics equally likely?
- EDIT: Nothing says ‘Spring’ quite like the Weekly Mischief Report!
Things got a lot more complicated at the studio this report due to an unwelcome early visit from this week’s event troop. Say hello, Spring Imp.
- IMP: You weren’t doing anything important anyways. The only “work” you were doing was playing Treasure Hunt and finishing with singular Traitstones.
…Good to have you aboard.
Like all imps, split damage plays it’s part like a cactus exploding. But even getting pricked will land the opposing team in the rosebush, Entangling the whole team in vines. The most frightening part is her room for growth. This imps Seedling trait increases her damage output with every green gem match.
- IMP: Now hiring Goblin Shaman’s and Green Seer’s!
But just as things grow, others wither. We’ve got a line-up of balances this week, starting with the demon of the sands, Dust Devil. Struck without magic, this troop renews his primary purpose for creation. To knock cutters to the back of the line!
- IMP: Hey, Gorgotha. Stop taking so long at checkout. You demand way too much, fatty!
Charming.
Sheggra and Celestasia are two lady legendaries with rightful tweaks to their creation spells. Now the world can rest a little more easy.
Burning Scythe and Yasmine’s Chalice also got tweaked to lessen over-saturation in the Arena. I swear it was like movie theater popcorn in there!
- IMP: Have you always been this unfunny, or is this just an off week for you?
I’ll ask for opinion when you stop being such a thorn in my side! … Aaaand, she’s gone.
It seems while I turned away for a second she snuck off, must be thanks to all those Arcane Stealth Traistones she’s packing. There’s quite a few troops you can offer these stones to. If you like extra turns, Goblin and Satyr fast to offer their services. Glade Warden & Reaver are always ready to clear the board. And as a last resort, if the situation becomes real dire, there’s a wolf for that.
- EDIT: You all need to grow a sense of humor. Get those grouch bugs out of your pants!
#Match you next time!
@Sirrian
On the testing issue
Why not recruit Quality game players (well call em The Anti Nerf Squad )
Then set a preview server up for Us…Ahem i mean them…
Then us players can test new stuff for you and report back Detailed info.
A public test server is actually a VERY good idea, and definitely something we’d like to explore as the game gets more and more complex!
Right now, we don’t have the people available to set it up, but we’re growing the team a little over the next few months (we have lots of exciting stuff to share, but I’m not allowed to say more yet), but perhaps we can explore it then.
Free game testing feedback:
- The Great Maw is broken and devours multiple enemies when his 3rd (legendary) trait triggers. Broken because he eats enemies below the one he is killing with skull damage.
If you compare this to the Archer hero’s 3rd trait, that one is not killing enemies below the one he is attacking. With the archer you can only kill one enemy at a time, even when you have a full board of skulls.
Therefor I conclude the Great Maw is not working as intended, and should be fixed to work like the Archer’s 3rd trait.
You are welcome, totally free!
Hello,
first forum post here…
Can the steam version of the game be fixed?
By fixed I mean → Every time you alt-tab from the game, and tab back in you get a loading screen.
It’s a fairly ‘small’ probably, but with 1 monitor it is still super annoying.
Also → Resolutions for Steam?
And → Keyboard shortcuts for Steam?
ie. 1-2-3-4 cast the ability of your card in that slot (rebind-able) and 1-2-3-4 target the enemies troops for single target spells (also rebind-able.)
Great Maw has been bugged since he was introduced into the game. The team was already aware of this, and I expect a fix will come in the (near?) future…
Sheggra nerf, yeah not sure that was warranted. Never really had problem defeating it. Playing it, it is a good card but nothing too powerful. Especially that if it fails to make a match 4, then the opponent gets a big advantage.
But more generally, on the topic of legendaries, could you block having more than 1 in the same team? If there are legendaries, it would imply they don’t have any twin brothers.
The imp’s boobs are bigger than her head. Like, each individual breast is itself larger than her head.
Before I saw the image, I was wondering what the likelihood of ridiculous boobs was. I hoped we’d finally get a female creature who wasn’t mostly mammary. Instead, it’s an especially ridiculous image.
The other one that drives me crazy every.single.time is shadow hunter. Those bolt-on boobs do not belong on that body.
Like, women play this game too. I think a “boobs smaller than head” rule is a pretty reasonable request…
What are you babbling about, they are each half the size of her head. .
Shadow Hunters boobs are about the size of her biceps, so i think she is ok.
It is stylized comic characters, obviously they tend to be exaggerated. Most female characters have above average sized breasts, and most male characters are either walking mountain of muscles or have a larger than live belly.
I am counting her head and not her headdress/hair. Headdresses do not have to be in proportion to the rest of the body and often aren’t.
Her head is tiny. Unlike all the other imps, which are like 70% head.
