This is weird. Most prominently, rating doesn’t match rank. I wonder if they didn’t actually fix a display issue, that what we are seeing now is what has been happening behind the scenes all along. At least that would explain the matchings all across the board during past GWs.
A player who has access to API (if I understood them correctly) claims that there already were mistakes in changing scores after the previous GW. According to them, what we see in the leaderboard s not just a visual bug.
Still no official response to this?
This is not just for one or 2 persons, everybody has a messed up leaderboard!
It is both the ranking and the rating that’s completely messed up!
Will this effect our true ranking?
Will this effect matchmaking?
How will this influence Guild War?
I suspect the ELO rating is broken. API has told us that the scores aren’t matching the true data. We pointed it and they said they fixed, but it’s not. It’s not visual either, otherwise game file data would match.
Noticed some guilds have the same ranking as the last wars, all of the ones I remember, exactly same rank, so it’s a triple whammy of wrong numbers, ,wrong calculation and immovable ranking.
It’s entirely not good enough. If you ask me I would say stop guild wars, get in the lab so to speak and do us all a favour and fix it. I realise it has a paid pass, but maybe a wiser decision is to fix it properly and keep people paying in future.
It is totally beyond me why they plan such an important event, when they are not in to trouble shoot when something is broken!
They deleted all the spam posts in the forum, so someone is monitoring the forum!
Don’t believe those were automatic deletions, as it took nearly a whole day!
Weird thing is they postponed guild war because the office was closed Oct 7th and 8th!
That was considered a problem.
Now they are closed too and they still went ahead and run guild wars!
No logic there.
They say someone is always watching the forum when they are out.
This is major and should have been picked up already, regardless of the fact that the office is closed.
Maybe change the title of this thread, to something like “Guild Wars Major Bug”?
Just a thought, might catch their attention.
In a related note, our Guild is still shown as #52. Which we were already last month and then won all 4 days. So I would have expected us to rank up to 50 or higher [more morale bonus loot] since at the very least we did also beat #51…
Well, Tigerclaw is matched against Tremmor. It doesn’t seem to be a guild anywhere in the top 400, so I guess anything is possible this Guild Wars, even fighting abandoned guilds.
We also fight sentinels every battle. No one has had a real opponent yet, and so far no one has attacked us. I can’t believe that even a one person guild would opt in and not at least defend the Palace. So the bug might be that empty guilds are being opted in by the game.
Our leaderboard is also messed up as stated above, and we never changed rank from last GW, even though we won every day. Of course, one of the bugs I reported last GW was that we were not changing rank during the GW, when we should have been advancing daily.
I’d like to be able to click on opponent guilds, to see their ranking and guild details and numbers. Like when you click on a guild in your area of trophy leaderboard.
Now you have no clue who opponents are mostly, bar those in range of you. I mean hard to chek externally now as well.
This ‘getting details’ could be before clicking to war - click on their logo to see who they are. It’s kind of unrealistic that you can’t see something about them. I’m sure it will help, especially with (unwanted) forced daily play.
