Patch 1.0.9 Preview Part 2

I also thought you are a WoW fan because of deathwing xD

Then I hope you really do pick up on the changes!

The icon pic actually is just a pic I downloaded on my phone to make a theme out of and I moved it to the pc to use here. I had no idea where it came from or what it represented. I just like dragons.

Not sure what troops you’ve got, but using valk to power star gazer (who can start empowered) seems like a waste.

You could also trial a teams with a ‘Stoneskin’ traited troop in 1st position (Knight Coronet, Treant etc) to help protect you against True Shot teams.

A team that is very solid (>90% on hard) is Glade Warden, Valk, Sheggra’s Heart, Sheggra…if you have them.

Are all your Kingdoms levelled to 10?

You might be… I just played three games while chatting with you and the harder team I got was an untraited goblin team. And I don’t really remember figting those kind of teams that often.

Oh and I see you don’t like to skip battles… I would recommend you to do so… It would help you as it does to everyone else, but of course, its completly up to you.

I have all kingdoms at 10 and 18/20 at 2 stars and 2 at 3 stars. I am 3 troops short of a complete deck. I did use that team for quite a while and switched it up. Maybe I will have to try it again.

I use Valkyrie in most of my teams for the soul boost of Necromancy. Star gazer is to boost Glade Warden.

The teams you are using are soul-farming teams. Using them in PvP does take some skill.

They are not straight out attack and win teams.

You are playing ALL opponents. That is either very brave or very foolish, especially if you have a low threshold for losing!

You have done very well to get so few losses!

I avoid many teams and am willing to pay 10 gold for the privilege. My reasons for avoiding them are;

They are too strong - All Mythic
They will take too much time to play and win - Goblins
They contain dodgy troop skills - True-shot.

I don’t see where this subject is going. Difficulty is relative to individual players. I personally have awful track record against goblin teams, and for the life of me I do not know why! I just chalk it up to one of the mysteries of the universe. The fact that enough people is raising voice over the new difficulty change means that the problem is real, and it’s not going to go away by making fun of how other people play their games.

We need to see more constructive comments here, like what @Bludax is doing with his advice, and less of the “this game is so easy i don’t see why others are having problem” mentality. Thank you very much.

There’s your (kinda) problem then… You need to skip True Shot / Skull teams or play a control or looping strategy (or a purpose built Stoneskin team) to combat them… Your second team there is a decent control team but a bit erratic for damage as relies on skulls dropping for the slime to attack… Your others are aggro teams that’ll win fast but against True Shot / Skull teams you’re fighting like for like and exposed to bad drops… Lose your first attacker and it’s hard to recover…

I’m guessing you also don’t have much stuff maxed yet - the extra stats from ascensions and even 5 star kingdoms do help insulate you from bad drops. Many players here are ‘big fish’ / long time players that have those extra stats so it’s hard to remember when things were stacked against you…

Most players skip those ‘coin toss’ True Shot teams… If you play them then you’re taking a risk and yeah your loss rate will be higher…

If you must play them, try this excellent control deck:
Alchemist
Hero (Eternal Flame)
Goblin Rocket
Goblin Rocket
…you ideally need the Fire Link traits on Alchemist and the Rockets, and a red or red/yellow banner… With practice, the AI will only get 2-3 turns before you lock them out and loop forever…

Thank you @Jainus. The only issue is no Eternal Flame yet. The other three are legendary or mythic and all traited out in my deck. Any replacement for Eternal Flame? I’m level 486 so my deck is pretty good. Still 3 cards to go but pretty good.

Probably the red aoe legendary. Cant quite remember the name.

Edit: Summer’s Fury (I think?)

Summer’s Fury? Yes I have that one. I will try it.

Yeah, its the one that comes to my mind, but perhabs it couldn’t be enough, I think the Eternal Flame is part of the core for that team and Summer’s Fury is known for its backfire.

The problem with Summer’s Fury is that it eats up its own Red, and very little will trickle over into the goblin rockets. You can try:

Alchemist
Goblin Rocket
Goblin Rocket
Mercy

This would give you a nice 5-color spread, and there’s no need to consider Purple because Mercy’s ability will eat those up anyway.

Then again, all the spawners but Skeleton and Goblin Shaman are quite a backfire troops.

Serale. What is the meaning of aoe? or (AOE) or AoE.

This abbreviation or acronym has been used in these forums for a long time and I have REALLY tried to find the meaning. No success.
Please help!

There are more… but I don’t want to end up having a rant. Idea for the WIKI?

AOE = Area of Effect
In this case: Hits entire team

Big Thank You! @ctu1208

I guess you can say that, you could also say that the “I want everything maxed and win every match with no effort at all once however” mentality could be the a problem on its own…

Exactly what Mr. Ctu said. Am quite used to use that term even in games where it doesn’t really makes sence, as theres not actual “area” XD.
