A new PvP season, a horrible Urskaya kingdom restriction for Guild Wars, and just…too much going on. Trying to think of ways to fight against the META with Elementalist using such horrible troops and weapons is already stressing me out. What do we do? Hope that we can keep hitting wish gems with our weapon and King Mikhail and hope for the best?
Maybe I will just take that week off and give up. It seems more relaxing that way.
I actually figured out two decent ways to fight Elementalist, along with Chrysantherax, Takshakas, and all that other nonsense. (You can actually make most of your team immune to status effects and function pretty well to not worry about Elementalist at least).
But you need a good start and need to get VERY lucky. I don’t like that Guild Wars relies more on luck than skill sometimes. Maybe the weapon restriction needs to be lifted. I honestly don’t know. But kingdom restrictions feel out of balance.
As a community, we have suggested that Guild War defenses SHOULD NOT be able to use multiple copies of the same troop. (This would help with the ×3 Takshaka/×2 Pharoh Khafru/×2 Zarg’s Boompile nonsense, and others). But color restrictions do feel too easy (and when we can use the most powerful troop types).
Yet, this is here we are. Worrying about Guild Wars month to month. Sometimes, it feels like we are using paper clips and chewing gum to fight Goliath. But we do it anyway because it’s the only competitive and challenging thing that is left in this game.
From what I have seen here, making GW single kingdom attack easier and setting up dedicated GW testing area are two common feedbacks about the GW. I remember way back when the new GW was released, devs had a plan to set up a GW testing area, which is probably buried under a pile of “other priorities” now.
Did devs ever respond to the request to make the single kingdom attack easier? I am just thinking about loud: maybe allowing 2 kingdoms to be used at the same time, not allowing multiple copies of the same troop on defense etc.?
