[Investigating] Reduced GAP gnome rewards in slow fight

What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:
I expected reduced rewards from gnomes in GAP during a fast fight. However, the rewards are also reduced in a slow fight.

According to @Kafka, playing 2 battles a minute won’t result in any change to drops. In other words, as long as the fight is longer than 30 seconds, rewards are not reduced. However, the community has found that rewards are reduced up to 50 seconds in a fight.

How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?
Every time a GAP is run.

Steps to make it happen again
-Start GAP
-Spend 30-50 seconds in battle.
-Witness reduced rewards

Here’s another player, @Wow , who shared data from their guild doing explore 12. I don’t know how long these fights took, but as this is the maximum difficulty they shouldn’t be nerfed.

Gotcha. Yeah the devs haven’t said exactly when rewards start to be reduced. But, they did say 2 battles a minute is safe, so I am basing this bug report soley on that.

Wonder if it will be fixed to match their statement, or if they will update their statement. Fingers crossed on some clarity.

The mere fact that we have to “confirm” shit cause you can’t trust the devs just speaks to how bad this is.

For me, I just play as I used to. All in all GaP is stil lbetter than no GaP so fuck it, might as well just not think about it.

However I have pledged a loooong time back not to give them a cent cause fuck these types of predatory tactics and games. Enjoy the F2P but don’t contribute to, as they called it, “the economy”.

Same rules for all gatcha/casino/lootbox games. Those are set up to bleed users, nothing else.

I really wish they’d be more transparent but who am I kidding.

There’s a 1 missing in “1 or 2 battles a minute”. Wording it differently, if you are used to playing long, tough battles, you probably understand little enough about the game to notice a difference in rewards.

That makes the “or” make so much more sense now! Yep, that’s likely it. She meant to say 1 or 2, not 2.

Thank you for posting this. So we can investigate this further I’m just wanting to ask some questiions;

  • What game modes did you notice this in?
  • If it was Explore, which difficulty were you playing at?

Reduced rewards have been found in explore of every difficulty, from easy 1 to the max of 12.

I provided links to the other threads with numerous examples. I will go through them this week to link to specific comments and update my bug report and let you know.

Other GoW gamers, can you comment on this post with your examples where rewards were reduced in fights taking between 30-50 seconds?

Is there really anything at all to investigate? The GaP nerf has been analyzed to death the past week, with IP2 falling over themselves to remain absent, even for the most basic questions. Sorry if this sounds somewhat grumpy, we aren’t going to hear anything back except possibly “Not a Bug”, no matter how much effort we spend providing data you already consider working as intended, right?

For some Explore 12 gnome rewards (credit to @Dust_Angel):

Timing to 50-55 seconds, 100% payout:
Souls - 2500; 1000; 1000; 5000; 5000; 2500
Glory - 1000; 200; 200; 200; 200; 500

Timing to about 45 seconds, roughly 90% payout:
Souls - 2400
Glory - 920; 920

Timing to about 35 seconds, roughly 70% payout:
Souls - 720

@OminousGMan, I’ll link to a couple examples below. Overall, this is happening on all explore levels and happens every time, so should be easy for the devs to test and confirm.

I will add these examples to my original bug report as well.

Any news on this one? It’s already been two weeks, with the next GAP starting to show up on the horizon. Is the Dev Team in need of further examples to finish their investigation?

It wont be. That is until people stop giving them their money.

Every time a person gives them money they are saying it is ok just to participate. Being good or doing your job properly doesn’t matter.

Oddly enough, you can give a junkie a drug that is 80% cut and they will still buy it once they become addicted. Interesting how both are so similar.
