We didn’t see any changes, I wasn’t sure whether to expect any. I can say that we’ve gone from one extreme to another in terms of opponents - yesterday’s was out of our league and today is a guild of maybe one person. So the matching is still outta whack.
Thanks for everything you are doing to make this a better experience for everyone.
Well we are facing the #7 guild and getting smashed. This is one of the most low effort updates ever. They took guild wars and made it even more imbalanced
So the #1 ranked guild is fighting a no name guild on Xbox, Playstation, and mobile. 2 times could be a coincidence, but 3 has to be a trend. I wonder if their code is taking the #1 ranked guild vs a 1 player guild, thinking somehow the 1v1 is a close matchup.
This new Guild Wars is a complete farce, the second installment was delayed to resolve issues and make improvements, but it’s quite the opposite, 8.5 only brought more bugs, the same thing, we’re facing the same guild we lost to yesterday so we’re going to lose again today, goodbye to the gold marks from the morale bonus, Jeto, what does your management say about this new fiasco???, your boss is planning to send us compensation in our mailboxes on Monday morning, other than the usual 50 gems??? In addition, our attack team is totally disproportionate to the power of the opponents, the palace’s victories against the Takshaka or CX are only achieved randomly by RNG, so based on the luck of the table, your new version of Guild Wars is really not exciting, what a disappointment apart from the rewards which are still nice. And still 0 statistics available to guild leaders to pilot their guild in this event. Despairing
This different teams reminds me of the pvp leagues, were we see one set of opponents,
But theres another league, were our name is, we cant see it, but the prople in that league can.
Its very simler, we see the guilds were fighting, but them guilds are fighting other teams.
So in essence, we are only seeing were we attack, but our defences are in another league.
So our GW attack, sees GW defence guilds.
But our defence guild, is in other attack leagues.
Its very simler, and we already know, that the back end code.
Connects pvp and guild wars.
As a newer player (level 1300, playing around two years.) this isn’t fun.
I didn’t get to experience the original Guild Wars because I was lower level, didn’t have any strong mythics, was in a newbie guild, and then the OG GW broke. So I can’t compare the two, but this isn’t fun.
On defence I can always find at least one restriction where I have troops necessary to build a strong team, but the first two restrictions on attack have been for kingdoms where I have zero mythics. Going up against Taks x3, Qbee x2, CX, full Goblin team, etc. with a legendary that does 54 damage to three enemies isn’t fun.
1st Day my guild was way outmatched power wise. Past 2 days opponents seem more evenly matched, strength-wise. BUT if we must fight with garbage troop choices, why are we not fighting against those same garbage troops? The attack restrictions are ridiculous if they are applied to only one side. Whatever the restrictions are should apply to both sides. Only then is it a daily challenge instead of total annihilation to the point where, if I make my guild participate, I’m going to lose long-time players.
To punish a guild by ‘decaying’ their guild rank for not participating, beyond losing out on the actually decent loot bonuses earned with new GW set up, is a strong-arm tactic and those are only necessary when force is needed to make someone do something that is unpalatable or unacceptable.
Please level out the playing field. If I’m fighting NaGa, as in Alliance battles, then for heavens sake, let me fight WITH naga troops, not stupid ones nobody uses because they stink.
Yes but your troops, and the teams your fighting.
All the guilds have the same kingdom troops.
So every guild is fighting defences with tak, CT, khaffu.
Were all actually playing on the same field.
Now i loved old GWs. Bdcsuse, it was fun, the only real fun competitive mode, were we played to get paragon. Now thats missing.
Thst was the best part of old GWs.
New GWs is very fair tho, 3 days. 2 5=0 wins and a 4= 1.
My team
The north star (weapon)
Centuragon
Cattauri king
Immortal sag
Doomssyer as its better to attack
Elementslist when i fought tak and beetrix different teams.
So no mythics, troops most plsyers should have.
I like new GWs. Stops the constant book teams (boring no thought like the old journey troops)
We need a parsgon, top player score part of new GWs tho, to make it more guild interactive.
Considering Cattauri King is a new Legendary to the chests and potentially requires a substantial amount of keys pull, I’d argue that it’s not a troop “most” players have. That’s part of the reason why there was a thread about this troop a month ago. It’s an important troop that many players don’t realistically have access to this GW.
Same. Looks like the #1 Guilds from XBox, Playstation, and PC/Mobile are getting a vacation month. We faced the #2 Guild 4 times in a row last Guild War and our rating went up +66. Interested to the impact of this war. Chiefsfan27, did your guild also face the #2 guild 4 times in a row last war?
So many combinations and different troops to play gw without this King…
And actually gw is just a joke, we should be focus on that than a troop, only a detail in the bag of this fiasco
The problem with the new GWs is it feels like it’s been knocked together on the back of a cigarette packet. Anything none simplistic got left off because the packet was full of writing….
I’ve already given my feedback on what’s poor, and it still stands. Devs need to go and bury themselves in their dungeon and spend time on the mode, instead of adding what they did in 8.5. Instead of all the excuses and stuff, just pause it and work with us on it, beta and otherwise if necessary.
Now there is a concept, the keep idea and such is good. The drawback is that whoever designed it, doesn’t play it. If you combine the best of old guild wars, the competition, results shown, feedback with some of the strategies of the new mode, whilst evening the playing field, it could be really good.
It’s completely hollow. I just had someone ask me how many sets we got yesterday. I can’t tell them. I cannot tell them just about anything. It’s bordering on pointless.
When we play with junk Divinion fields garbage against Takshaka, the mega flower dragon, in 2-3 of the 4 ‘real’ (gate is a joke battle) rooms, that is not an even match. Not knowing how our defenses are doing, which of our guild members are participating, how we ourselves did in each battle, makes a bad situation worse.
To punish by docking a guild points for not playing them would be like being docked player status because I don’t do arena since they removed the hero from the battle (waste of my precious game time) or bounty either, too little reward for the time it takes. I wouldn’t even mind arena so much if my troop choices weren’t always one-shot losers against the AI damage all setups. Every time. So I don’t play. My choice. I enjoy alliance for most part, GW’s should be modeled after that setup imo. Way it is, is not how real game play goes. We are going in with a feather and little chance to hammer the enemy with that.
Return the guild participation board to us, with Paragon getting a Dragonite bonus! Might be an incentive for more players to get on board with the event
