7.0 Update: Underspire

I could see myself enjoying this if it was 50 gems, 3 times a day. but having it scale 50-100-150 is a no-go for me. The difference between 150 a day and 300 a day adds up too much.

Depending on how these first 2-3 weeks ago, I can see myself abandoning the Underspire outside of free sigils despite thinking the Dragon rewards seeming decent…

back in my day, our games took up the entire screen, and were 400x600.
and we hard to play our games in the snow. uphill.
both ways.

and our games were PONG!

Will you be posting Reward pics all the way to the end?

I wish to reply to the new UI as a colorblind person (red-green blind) who has also been a very long-time player.

First, as someone who was always missing the very-old-UI (the one before the one we now ditched), I am happy about the return to color. I really, really am.

However, there are some good and some bad parts.

First, for a colorblind player, not having the colored borders anymore is huge, as I was unable to tell some of the rarities apart. This is a LOT better now. I am also doing better in telling the bronze and gold medaled troops apart, which I struggled a bit with before.

The numbers in general are too small. I only play on PC because with colorblindness, mobile play is impossible for basically every game there is, and I agree with the people who say the numbers are too small. I don’t think their position is an issue - that’s just a position change people will get used to - but the size definitely is. The mana numbers are, depending on troop and color, very hard to read.

I also want to say that with my colorblindness, red and green sort of are a yellow to me, so I see the outline of the numbers very clearly on red, green and yellow, meaning I might actually have an easier time than others, as crazy as that is.

I personally think that making the numbers bigger and the mana numbers white inside would fix a lot of the issues. The colored banner is definitely awesome and looks so fancy!

The new troop menu, though, is a bit of a bummer. One of the most attractive things in this game is the art and for a lot of troops, their faces are now obscured by their name. Voice of Orpheus is a good example for that. I would also propose making the team-list on the left smaller to have the cards be bigger and show the art more.

Overall, I do like the UI change, but I absolutely support mobile players in needing bigger numbers. Just because something doesn’t bother me doesn’t mean that it’s a good thing, after all.

Sure, whatever I can grab, anyway. Not sure I want to spend actual cash on Underspire, but I’ll throw some gems at it for science,

Thanks, I’m 31 out of 32 room cleared so far and I’m on the unlucky side of things. Ha. I could see myself throwing money at this, but not if I can’t make it far enough. Defeats the traditional point of Lanterns, I’d imagine.

Not having the day 1 gem torches kind of hurts, but it is what it is. If rewards are the same each time, some fortunate/unfortunate player just needs to reveal it and the rest can make informed decisions…

If Lyrian’s reward table stays accurate, the 3rd Dragon definitely feels bad. Almost a buy a Keystone to skip finding it bad.

Long time no see, I’d recommend posting that in a new thread. There’s no chance anyone in power is going to read this thread (in my opinion).

I meant the events and more tiers. :grinning:

Hey there, long time no see! I actually still lurk the forums, but it’s just not what it once was here… very toxic now when four years ago, it was such a wholesome community.

Also from what I noticed, it’s not like anyone in power reads anything anywhere anymore, so… I didn’t want to make a new thread just for my personal opinion. It’s not like I’m important or anything, after all.

Since I got recognized by someone, though, have a picture of bunnies for old time’s sake! :rabbit2:

Cards layout: Meh…
Hate that I can’t see the trait symbols. Need to access the troop card to remember. Before I could identify some key traits. Now? Just some nuissance. Great work improving from an art where we could read exactly the type of troop to one that we can use our imagination to classify the troop. Numbers not ok with this layout, trying to squeeze everything on a sidebar.
Weapons? How can I know the rarity of a weapon? Not looking at it anymore! Need to access the upgrade menu to check the type of ingot? Really?

Underspire. With only free torches, you will only get so far. Need indeed to spend gems and gems and gems to get anywhere. With other events and items that also need gems, Underspire will stay Under the Rug. Sorry, not sorry.

For now, completely ignore just like Epic Trials, unless there is something that I really need and can’t grind anywhere else.

Is there anyway to make the graphics less glaring and difficult to read? these are really awful on the eyes.

Can someone (or a few) show me what their Dragon Boss room looks like on the map (not the minimap)?

Here is mine after defeating it

I was playing on my phone and noticed the keystone door barrier and boss rooms looked weird. Hopped over to Steam, and it looks correct and completely different.
They probably missed porting images to the different versions?

Report issue here: [Reported] 7.0 Broken Graphics - #4 by NerdieBirdie

I meant the kingdom level (that goes from 1-20). This patch has cluttered my brain with a lot of unnecessary changes, and I was just trying to find a meaningful way for me to upgrade my kingdoms. Needless to say, I was disappointed that my kingdoms will stay in the stone age.

It is fine to get 2 color deed books to get kingdoms to 16, but trying to get 30 color deed books is absolutely ridiculous.

After testing out the under spire I can say this: this is what the dungeon rework SHOULD have been. I will wait to see what the final boss room gives, but it has to be better than the “perfect run” bs of daily dungeon disappointments right?

ahaha… oh this game is great. I forgot about NerdieBirdie’s broken graphic topic.

I’m not even trying to bring attention to that. It’s supposed to have a proper graphic.

Turns out, despite the broken graphic… thank you. Helpful.

My honest opinion as a player level 1,501 now, Underspire is not fun and is boring. It just like Dungeon but longer and takes forever to battle in for a few rewards, why I have to concentrate on getting gold to complete the guardians task each week to activate the bonuses. Dungeon has purpose so we can use the diamonds to get troops and that takes a long while to gather 4,000 diamonds but is worth it. Underspire takes too long and to me not worth wasting time on. It would’ve been nice to have improvements towards more gold being added after we fight battles in P.V.P Ranked Like 25,000 - 75,000 gold after a fight so it not taken a long time to unlock Legendary Task achievable after completing all 12-guardian task!

2 books to go to 15-16 is kingdom pl 23to 24. 26- 27 requires pl 18, and THAT’s hard, near impossible. pl 30 is kingdom level to 20.

i have been TRYING to get my kingdom pl up, i have one kingdom at 29. many of the rest are blocked by books.
[most are medal blocked, so i really need those glory orb rewards]

getting enough books for one kingdom to get to 20 is ridiculous, there are 37 kingdoms.

we agree on that, i thought you were saying pl 16, that seemed really low to me.
