So, I went looking for an answer to that question and it looks like Salty answered that exact question, TO YOU, just a few weeks ago:

Guild Wars Delayed (April 24th)

This was my plan! Off comes the ban-aid then comes the lure of new hero classes and runic traitstones in legendary tasks. @Rickygervais these changes will hit console in the next update.

So, based on that, I’d say, yeah, the bigger PVP pool should come with the next update.
