My opinion hasn’t changed much: decent unit overall; cleanse on matches is very nice; cleanse on ability is redundant and should be changed to something else. ---

I dislike the single troop attack but like the give 5 mana to all allies. Also, like @amada said, the third trait seems like a waste being that’s what his spell does. I look forward to trying the troop though. 🙂 ---

I like him. Can’t be stun, so basically, your troops are guaranteed protection against effect. It does make most other cleanser useless now. ---

It depends, if the mana is added after or before the spell damage. But he needs a 2x boost to be kinda useful as a sniper. Hell i even take x 1.5. ---

I think on cast his mana would drop to 0 before damage calc. I would like to know if you have a frozen yellow troop and match 4 yellow do you get an extra turn? My guess is probably not ---

Do we know when he is due to release? Next week we get new kingdom so the week after we should see him? Nevermind look like mythic is january 26th and 3 days later januaray 29 is the kingdom cause on friday it’s holiday in australia ---

Spoiler site says feb 2nd. It also lists bf troops for the 26th so idk the mythic date is accurate. ---

Mana is deducted when the spell is cast. If so it could be really strong The current spell text specifices _then_ give all others five mana. Even if it didn’t, everything else in the game with a boost ratio that can be raised by casting the spell itself has the boost take place as the second step of the spell (eg., Pharos, Bonnie Rose, Warg, etc). I put his max damage in any team I’d be willing to use him in at about the 70-80 range, counting Arcane and full mana on every other troop, and more likely he would be in the 40-60 range when I’m ready to cast, which is a two or three shot. Actually, thats when I’d _want_ to cast him, because then he can make your other troops full to _keep_ casting. Thats combined with his cleanse and I see him in the support role. Without the cleanse on his spell, he wouldn’t be able to cleanse versus yellow removers, and honestly, cleanse on yellow is _way_ weaker than a cleanse on match 4/5 would be. He doesn’t look very loop-friendly because of his lackluster damage while dropping the turn and also only cleansing if you loop through yellow (which Mercy already does, and Herdmaster can do). He’s basically going to be used to counter status setups and annoying statuses, while also keeping your turn flow going for teams that _almost_ chain and doing a bit of damage, something _other_ cleansers don’t do. Of the metas that I actually see him “countering” at the moment, I’d say maybe Silence, which has been on the rise slightly. I predict him losing hard to Mana Drain like pretty much any mythic. Hes not really anti-goblins, and while Impervious. Forest Troll/Kraken/Mab… not really, it would be difficult to find an opening (either yellow gems to match, or having full mana to cast either way) to get a cleanse off versus in a blue/green flooding that happened to freeze you in the first place. When Faerie Fire becomes more prevalent, I could see him maybe countering that - but only if the Faerie Fire setup didn’t just flatten the opposing team without dropping the turn, which is _way_ more likely to happen with 1.5 spell damage. In short, he looks like a troop that many people like the _idea_ of but not a lot of people put to great effect or drop when the novelty wears off, forgetting about him even when they run into an annoying status team that they would have used him to “counter” in the first place and opting to steamroll it with an Infernus team instead because it is twice as fast. Unless _Silence_ becomes a lot more deadly/loop capable to become prevalent, but honestly, that would be terrible for everyone. ---

BF date was only announced to change yesterday and was originally the 26th (devs just couldn’t find enough people for the 26th). Let’s hope it stays that way - I definitely am willing to wait the few days on my Glory and Gem Keys and try to get him and all the BF troops in one fell swoop. As for the troop, I want him really, really badly (and already got all Arcanes for him), but that is influenced by quite a few facts: 1. I love playing Mana-Dispensers. Ysabelle is in my team since forever. He doesn’t clash colors with her. Excited about playing them together! It working out, of course, is a different matter. It likely won’t. But still. 2. He’s from Leonis. I want my eight stars. And I love Leonis troops. 3. Doesn’t clash with Khorvash. 4. Silence has been really annoying me lately. 5. IDK, I am not a very good player anyway and only play with troops I like and i like him, so he’s great for me? 6. I’m super-scared of FF. And after Salty has shown off Titania being completely OP even without her FF trait, I know for absolutely sure I need a FF counter. Yes, these are stupid reasons. But I’ve been waiting for him for months ever since he was announced and I’m just dumbly excited at the moment. And for his lore, to be honest. Can’t wait for that. Maybe he has a lot of Manticore-pets or something since those are associated with Orpheus. Maybe there will be an explanation for the nose-horn of Khorvash’s Manticore. Who knows?! Exciiiiiitement! ---

Are they really releasing the next kingdom with 9 troops including 2 Legendarys? I’m not complaining, will make it much easier to get 5\* on day 1 if true. ---

That seems to be what the game files indicate, but we won’t know for sure until it’s out. I fear for my event keys (I just know I’m going to get one of the two in my first few and then I’ll burn another hundred or more trying to get the second while getting copy after copy of the first…) Also, now that there are so many kingdoms, they might need to release new kingdoms in a somewhat more advanced state in order to level things out a little bit. There are only so many weeks in a year to have kingdom events. ---

So I’m opening 9k glory keys before the mythic comes when bright forest is available as I hope I can get a mythic i don’t have before voc arrives and then try to get him with gem keys and gems. That way I’ll hopefully get a good few new troops and have event keys to top up. That’s my reckoning anyway. I think bright forest is going to be a brilliant kingdom and I’m really looking forward to it.
