# \[Resolved\] Unable to level any of my troops

n/a see my bug report I sent in via support site.
**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**
I expected to level up my Acolyte.
I tried to level up my Acolyte and the game would only allow me to close and go back to a blank screen after a message from Luther saying “lets get back into the fight”
**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**
Started after the update. The beginning quest reset and I had to do it again. Since then I’m unable to level any troop. I’m obviously stuck in the quest.
**Steps to make it happen again**
Login game
complete the beginning quest that takes you to burning spire as a level 60.
go to the world map.
Open collection
select acolyte or any troop.
click level up

Same. I am unable to level up any of my troops on both Android and PC. This is frustrating, given that Guild Wars begins tomorrow, and I very much want to have my attack and defense teams at full power.

Same here, on mobile (not tried on PC yet) Game completely freezes and I had to restart, I can ascend and purchase traits, but the moment I try to increase the level it forces me to follow Luther’s prompts and ends up freezing
I have now tried it on Pc and it’s the same there as well

Right I have fixed it?
What I did was click on adventure path and I had “upgrade a troop to level 10 or beyond 3 times” which I clicked on. This put Luther on the troops and teams screen. I hit the back and then when I went back in to troops I could upgrade my troops.

At the top of my screen there’s a green icon next to the badges and medals. Or via the character screen that shows your skills/masteries/armour bonus/style. Not the cog settings page.
It brings up a screen that gives you three tasks and if you complete them you get an xp boost for 15 mins. Also gives you items for hitting certain levels.
I selected the troops on the right and it took me to my troops.
Seems to happen if I close my game and go back in and open collections now. So might be a change on the back end.

i just tryed that and it did it gleach out i am on steam its only when i go to the troops screen even the way you did it i thank it was the update

Awesome, thanks for the detailed description of how you got there, akarana! I guess maybe at a certain point, that screen changes from Adventurer’s Path to Exalted Path, and I no longer have the same options that you do. (Apparently I can’t embed images in my posts.)
Oh well! I very much hope the devs fix this issue quickly.

Yes Adventurer’s path only goes up to 100 so I assume it changes after that.
Very much a frustrating game breaking bug.

I’ve completed all Kingdom quests and I still can’t level up my Troops. The gauntlet forces me to click out and Luther tells me to get back to the fight, then I click the back arrow again and my screen completely freezes.

Having the same issue on my alt. I’m no longer on the Adventure’s Path so that trick won’t work for me.

Same issue on Android. New-ish player started a couple weeks ago and after the update I was put back into the intro scenario with the Dragon chasing us, finished the 10 or so fights and now every time I try to level a troop up I get Luther telling me to get back to the battle and then the screen freezes.

No, I don’t get put back into the tutorial after restarting the game, it was only the first time I opened the game after the update. After restarting, the game appears normal; i’ve done explores, other things, etc just fine only the level up a troop that seems to be borked.

Yes. I’ve had to Ctrl-Alt-Del the first three times. The fourth time I restarted Steam completely. Still occurring.
