When special gems like Bomb Gems, Elemental Stars, Doomskulls, etc. are destroyed, they are supposed to trigger their explosion effects. This happens with most destroying troop spells. However when Immortal Titanius destroys them, nothing happens, as you can see in the video.
This happens at all times, as soon as this troop was released
Simply use the troop spell when special gems are on the board, and you’ll see it happen.

Is this happening when you are playing at lower speeds as well?
As we are away playing some 4x speed can affect some of these animation effects

Yes, it still happens at 1x speed.
