**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**
I had finished an explore battle (level 1) in Sin of Maraj.
On hero level up screen, selected gem mastery to level up and the game crashed.
When I restarted the game, gem mastery and level up has applied so this might be one-off crash.
**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**
First time I’ve seen this and I’ve levelled up since 8.8 released so I’m not sure it’s related to the new update.

Happened again on level up. Started the animation then kicked me out to dashboard

I’m playing Switch but it will be some time before my next hero level occurs (1338).

I’ve levelled up twice (on Xbox Series X) without the game crashing so it doesn’t happen every time. I have had a guildmate report this issue though.
One issue I did have with the level up screen is that it appears so suddenly, I accidentally selected which gem mastery to upgrade before I even realised I was levelling up.
I also had the game crash randomly, but not on level up. I’d finished a pet rescue and collected rewards then selected the troop menu. The game crashed before loading troops.

I have a theory that spamming a on the animation makes it crash. I wanted to try it when I last levelled but my reflexes got the better of me. It did indeed crash. Thats 2 crashes on level ups this weekend

Just to add, I’ve levelled up a few more times over the weekend (now at level 1727) and it DIDN’T crash.
I had a theory that it might be connected to having an XP booster active at the time but it will be a while before I can test it out.
I only levelled up quick because it was a vault weekend and searching for verse 2 in E1 with ironhawk team.

I just came back to this game after a long break. I play on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S and the game crashes EVERY TIME when leveling up and choosing a mastery. 8 times so far…
