# \[reported\] Explore soft locks after upgrading Kingdom

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**
I was playing Explore 16 and clicked on the Kingdom exchange to level up. After exchanging Crystals to level the kingdom, I returned to the Explore battles but my progress wasn’t reflected.
I was expecting the progress to continue and instead it was stuck.
Once I completed the final battle against the Eternal Dragon, I was unable to start the run again.
**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**
Since 9.3 update.
**Steps to make it happen again**

Note: this was reported in the patch notes so I’m only providing further data in case it helps resolve it.

The progress not visually updating was a known issue (as you mentioned), but if you are getting soft locked I’ll pass that onto the team

Does it also happen if you go into the Astral Spire, or any of the other menus? Like chests, shop etc?

I didn’t have to restart though. As you mentioned in the patch notes, I was able to resolve it by exiting to the world map and coming back.

Oh also, resolved by going back to the world map, but does going to the Kingdom Quest map or Trials map do anything?

I’ll have to keep an eye on this for next time since I’ve already resolved my current bug. 👍
