# \[reported\] Can't use Orb if you don't have enough traitstones

Just sharing here as there is an issue where it you don’t have enough traitsontes to unlock traits on a troop, you are also currently blocked from using a Major Orb to bypass.
Would require a client fix so 9.2 and the earliest unless we need a 9.1 hotfix.

Just checking, if you _do_ have enough traitstones to unlock the traits, using the orb won’t go ahead and spend the traitstones, will it?

No, this issue is specifically not being able to use your Orbs because you don’t have traitstones. Having traitstones won’t USE your Orb.

That’s not what I meant. I meant if you’re allowed to use the orb because you have enough traitstones, and you choose to do so, the orb will work correctly?
It won’t spend your traitstones as if you were traiting the troop normally?
Just thinking if it’s disabling orb use when you don’t have enough traitstones, is it for a reason (i.e. It’s going to spend the traitstones)?

Yes the Orb will work without any issue.
