**Pridelands Flame** From a little demning in the woods a salamander was born Parents leaved him early Too ugly to handle And without any name Black as a blackstar Eyes of a cougar Mutations from \*\*\*\* Little, black mongo, said the frogs I am no mongo, said the Salamander You are, you still have a tail. Picked up by a Poison master, He could’nt help, But advice to get. Who can heal me, master? Travel to Khaziel And vist Emperina Heal me, take away my pain What would you gain? Brown skin, no tail? Breath of Life was casted Without any change He had to leave with even more pain. Back to the Pridelands Depressed as \*\*\*\* Hey mongo, they yell Next day he woke up Without any thirst But with a twist First day at school without any names A burning tail and a mouth full of flames Who are you, they asked Just call me Salamander The pride of Pridelands Posion Master wish came true Salamander learned him how to play with fire Like a son and mom, powerful as the Sun and Moon Probably the worst poem ever… ---

Strictly speaking, this is a filk rather than a poem, but I think it fits well enough in this thread, and since it won’t get out of my head until I write it down, y’all can enjoy it too. The song it’s based on will be obvious if you know it. 🕶 * * * Now let me welcome everybody to the wild, wild west A Kingdom untouchable like Celestasia’s nest The Roars hit ya eardrum like True Shot to ya chest Dress light but well armoured in the Kingdom of reds We in that sunshine land where Behemoths frenzy A home where ya never find Revenge cards empty And Raksha be hunting all across the scene For a lean mean money-makin-machine called Finley I been playin’ the game for ten months makin sweet loot Ever since Autumnal Imp was the event troop Now it’s 1.0.9 and they clock me and watch me Traitstones shinin lookin like I robbed all Zhul’Kari It’s all good, from Khaziel to tha Bay Your Kingdom is tha bomb if your Kingdom makin pay Throw up a finger if ya feel the same way Hero puttin it down for Kryst-A-R-A Salamander, knows how to burn things Salamander, knows how to burn things (yes he do) In the Kingdom, of all Red In the Kingdom, Kingdom of Raksha Keep 'em matching Keep 'em matching, yeah ---

I posted this elsewhere, but Jainus mentioned tossing it in this thread. Here is my submission to keep the thread moving. In advance, you have my sincere apologies to any literary mavens out there 🚑 * * * In honor of better reviews and a brighter future, I accepted the challenge and have written a celebratory limerick dealing with the famous Gems of War weapon, Anu’s Sceptre. I post this before heading off to Steam to add my own voice to the positive reviews of this great game. My first time in Whitehelm I visit a shop, The store keeper stares, he’s unwilling to stop, I look through some spellbooks, then in she came, An angel of Mercy, a beautiful dame, To fish for a smile, I spin-twirl away, And after a while, knock over a vase, The store keeper, angered, comes over and scolds, In Moloch we trust, all others pay gold. ---

For the sake of context, I got inducted to the lounge… So I posted this there as an introduction and @Jainus informed me of this thread’s existence and suggested a repost. There are little nuggets in there that reference the prerequisites to lounge acceptance and some things that have happened in the community and game since I started playing three(ish) months ago. * * * ## “The Itinerant’s Ingression” **I had stumbled off path, while dissecting my maps,** **I had practiced my maths, while tipping my cap.** **I concocted my theories; some met with salutations,** **Some thoughts made me leery, but left all to evaluation.** **The people were nice, though some showed their horns,** **Interim it sufficed, to say perhaps it was airborne?** **I watched kingdoms rise, well others were razed,** **I’ve seen Royalty capsize, as ashen Dragons fled the blaze.** **I found temporal homes, in search of a tribe,** **Frozen winds rattled bones, as I called through the vibes.** **I settled with wyrms, on their ascent to the peak,** **As the insatiable germs, lost their teeth; the same week.** **With unrest in my eyes, still I carried forth my blades,** **A legend never dies, so I bid alumni due accolades** **This much was true: I’d found a new place to scrounge,** **Only then, I finally knew; I had entered the lounge.** ---
