It was found while investigating this issue

> Platform: Steam, Windows 10 Video or screenshots: What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened: I got two Valravens at the same time in a PvP battle (this had happened once before a few days ago as well.) The even weirder thing is that I had already gotten two Valravens today, which means that I should have gotten only one more. This lead to me having 12 Sigils at the end, going over the cap, when I should have had only 10. Steps to make it happen…

I’ve also asked the team and they are looking into changing the Valhawk appearance chance, so they have an **increased** chance to appear in battles and I am just waiting for a response back.

Once again, Devs find something that players like and has no impact on the economy, and ensure to promotly ‘fix’ it in a way that is anti-player.

Well to a programmer, they are seeing/finding something that is not working as programmed/intended, which is a bug, and getting it fixed.

They don’t always have the context that to players it isn’t a “bug”. Which is why I followed it up further, rather than just leaving it as a situation where it’s back to working as it was intended to.

At the moment, the last word I got was they were looking at pushing out a change to increase the Valhawk appearance rate today some time.. but I am just gonna assume that **if it does** go ahead, it will be by weekly reset

So actual bugs are not getting fixed to prioritize as much time to fix the iOS issue as possible. Meanwhile changes happen that cause those who can log in to play more. Weird…

This is something that was seen and able to be fixed instantly on the server. Not a client fix or the chance to be a client fix. So, rather than have to come **back** to fixing it, they just did it while they were already looking at that code.

I also didn’t post that nothing was getting worked on while we resolve the iOS issue.

> It will still be the same until someone has a chance to look at it, as again, the current priority are ios players who can’t launch into the game.

Other stuff still gets worked on, it is just trying to resolve the iOS issue **is a priority**
I already shared that the daily offer issue has a pending fix coming in 9.5

So I imagine, while there wasn’t anything else the dev could do in regards to the ios issue, they went back to working through the backlog of ongoing issues that is there, then from that, saw this issue and fixed it as they went.

As I mentioned, it was found while investigating an existing and ongoing known issue. You want bugs fixed, but not the ones that are getting fixed. Then if they don’t get fixed, it just gets all brought up all over again.

I get there are community priority issues and that often differs to what is seen as a game priority to the team issue (can’t log in, total game wipes etc) and that is frustrating to see when things that don’t align with community priority are resolved, especially if something is grabbed on the fly that isn’t seen as a bug. But it doesn’t help anyone nitpick when something actually get’s fixed.
It’s not some conspiracy, they’re literally working through everything they can, when they can.

Once again we must add to the above “..while prioritizing the bugs that benefit the players”.

Such as too many valhawks popping up on very rare occasion (not economy-breaking), and tangentially ‘fixing’ the fact that they were popping up too fast, based on Andrew or Sirrian’s design choices of how much RNG and animations we must endure to get through the dailies or merely enjoy the game.

And meanwhile, countless easy to fix bugs (e.g spell bugs) remain untouched for years.

It may not be a ‘conspiracy’, but there is a historical trend that is once again repeating itself..

..which gives further context to the statement below:
