# \[not a bug\] Ogress' Calf - Game allows to max level from level 1 without consuming pet copies

welp, I currently cant embed media at this point.
**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**
Triggered the pet rescue via random pet gnome in PvP and selected this pet. After that, I wanted to level up the Pet to the next level based on the copies I have but Game allows me to max level it without consuming any pet copies
**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**
So far, this is the only pet that game allows me to fully max level without any copies. Tested with other non max level pets in my inventory but cannot replicate this bug.
**Steps to make it happen again**
Pet alert triggered via pet gnome in PvP battle.

I Got another Bugged Pet (Flame Troll’s Pup) which I can level up to Mythic without spending any copies.
Pet is triggered by defeating Gnome Pet in PvP during Gnome-a\_Palooza

Just to confirm, you don’t use pet copies to increase level, you use pet food.
You can increase **rarity** with copies, is that what you meant?

Yes, that is what I meant. I can increase the rarity on the above reporter pets without consuming copies

They haven’t, I can see their logs
@BipolarSaint did you increase the rarity on the day you triggered the pet rescue? or a different time?
Just trying to track the copies you had as I can see you triggered the pet rescue, when you already had 3 copies and ended with 7 copies that day
If you trigger the pet again, and can get a recording of showing it in your inventory at whatever level, and then showing upgrading the rarity without enough copies, that would be very helpful.

Yes, i tried to increase the rarity on the day the pet is triggered,; specifically right after the pet rescue event (hence the increase in the copies for the pet)

Well the increase is copies is from you doing the pet rescue and the buying the copies from the pet rescue - there are no logs in your data on that day, of you increasing the pet rarity.

Thats is correct. I did not increase the rarity of the said pet after consulting with my guild leader who recommended me to report it here in the forum.
I still have screenshot of both of the pets in question but i could not attach it to the message.
I will try to keep in mind your request for a video on the pet status if its trigerred again

Can you upgrade it, grab a video, and let me know, so I can grab the logs. Cos there is a chance you won’t be able to and it’s just visually showing you can.

You should also now be able to upload screenshots and videos, but I would only need to see what happens when you try to upgrade it without enough copies if it allows you

Just to clarify, since I haven’t seen it mentioned above, can you STILL upgrade those pets without extra copies (a permanent bug on the pet) or do you no longer have the options, after pet rescue event ended (a possible bug only during the event)?

@Zuul-Emo - Yes, that is correct. I believe its a permanent bug (for me at least)
@Jeto - The video below is the state of the bug at the moment. If you want me to experiment with maxing it up, i will do so and post the result.

Are you sure you haven’t previously upgraded the level cap of your pet to 20? Both Ogress’ Calf and Flame Troll’s Pup featured in a Legends Reborn event, where you could get enough copies for free to max the level cap. The game offers to trade extra copies for pet food, so it seems to be capped out. The frame color (green) of the pet card is somewhat misleading here, it’s based on the current level, not on ascension like with troop cards.

You have Anariel’s Wisdom maxed out, which falls into roughly the same time frame.
It would be interesting to see whether the game thinks you really ascended your pet or just ignores the level cap. If you don’t mind sharing your invite code (PM is okay) I could take a peek.

In your account data, I can see you have used enough copies to increase the level cap where once you spent some food, it would increase in rarity, despite it appearing like you only had \<7 copies of the pet
Your data showed you already had spent 30 copies at some point to increase the rarity.. you just needed to level it up before you could see that @BipolarSaint
tldr; your account data showed you had a total of 37 copies, 30 used for “fusion” which is what we call ascension in the data
