# \[Not a Bug\] Gnome killed in Gnome Vault not counting on VK pity counter

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**  
Doing some Gnome Vault and having the Vault Key pity counter increased. Moreover, when I click on the event I am suggested to do Gnome Vault…

**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**  
All the time.

**Steps to make it happen again**  
Do some Gnome Vault.

Hello there @turintuor

It’s as @Graeme pointed out this is the indented behaviour, Gnomes killed in a Gnome Vault do not count to wards the Gnome Vault Key pity counter. It only counts Gnomes that randomly spawn in battles with loot bags 🙂
