# (Not a Bug) 2 steps instead of 1

**Platform, device version and operating system:**  
Samsung Galaxy S9+, Android 9.0

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**  
Prior to my phone updating to 9.0  
Anytime I needed to enter text into a field like troop search or global/guild chat. By selecting the box it would automatically bring up my phone’s keyboard.  
Now it brings up a separate box, that I have to select before I can see my keyboard to enter text.  
So something that took 1 step with Android 8.0 now takes 2 steps with Android 9.0 🤷

Hey, this is an Android issue, it’s not a Gems of War bug that we can fix on our end sorry.

So I tell Google that GoW doesn’t work right because of 9.0? 🤔 And when all the Androids update to it, chatting becomes even more of a labor than it presently is. That’s great.

You can contact Android Support and tell them it’s annoying that when highlighting a text box that you have to click on the Android keyboard to activate the keyboard.

Yeah I just need to figure out another app where it does that. Because everything else seems to be working fine as before. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
