The battles are randomly chosen, but they all have an equal chance of appearing on the map. _Scoring_ You can find the following rewards for each of the different battles you may encounter.

> - Shade of Kurandara: 1 Defense Crystal

> Arcane Energy is worth 1 point, and each battle that drops Arcane Energy will drop a variable number of energy(on average about 1.18x the base amount). A Defense Crystal is worth 10 points, but Shade of Kurandara will only ever drop 1 crystal.
