# \[not a bug\]My character disappeared from troops & teams

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**  
👉 _Removed my character from my team for a battle and they are no longer available to select…new to the game and no idea if this is part of the story or…seems like a bug though. Oddly couldn’t find anything when searching for the issue_

**Steps to make it happen again**  
👉 _Tried to restart or various other steps, no change_

**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**  
👉 _Not a one off_

I think you removed your hero?  
You can get it back in by selecting the weapon you want to use.  
But if you have 4 other troops in, the game waits for you to select which troop you want to swap out.

That has sorted it, simple really just assumed the character would be with the characters!
