# Launcher crash when moving icon on Android home screen

**Platform, device version and operating system**  
Android 8.1.0, Pixel XL

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened**

The icon for this game was added as a shortcut to my Pixel XL home screen upon install, but it can’t be moved. As soon as I start to drag it, I get a Pixel Launcher crash. I can’t even get to the “remove” section up top to get rid of the icon.

**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**  
Immediately upon install.

**Steps to make it happen again**  
Long press on icon - start to drag - Pixel Launcher crashes

Google released Android 9 earlier in August. Please update to this OS to fix this issue. 🙂
