# \[Known Issue\] Softlock by using a spell for a troop that is transformed at the same time

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**  
I was fighting in PVP and somehow managed to get rid of the gem select circle. I believe i accidently selected the spell of the troop that was transformed by a status effect, afterwards i only had the option to retreat, because i wasn’t able to get control about the battlefield again.

**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**  
Only once and to be fair it’s probably a super rare condition, but i thought it can’t hurt to report this issue.

**Steps to make it happen again**  
Probably having a troop in your row with the status effect that end up with a transformation + holding the spell select button of this troop. I’m not sure if other status effects like silence also had a role.

I reported it before, and someone reported it even before that. There was promise that it will be fixed in the upcoming update.
