# Global chat not available on iPads (Not a bug)

**Platform, device version and operating system:**

- iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, both iOS version 12.2

**Screenshot or image:**

- I have one, just not too sure how to paste it.

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**

- connected to Chat, expected to see both global & guild chat. Guild chat is available, global chat isn’t (just says ‘none’). I’ve restarted the game on both devices over & over, still nothing. I do know that it’s happening to friends who also use iPads, so it’s not just my machine.

**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**

- first noticed it on April 7th, still happening.

**Steps to make it happen again**

- opening chat icon from anywhere in the game.

Can you click on Rejoin global chat button?

ah, so simply connecting to chat no longer is enough, now we have to go an extra step? Odd, but doable. Thank you for pointing that out, I’ll pass it along to the others!
