Im sitting on 16k diamonds with all mythics. I know it will never happen because you dont want to give us more dragon egg pulls but youd get a huge groundswell of appreciation if you were to let us spend our diamonds we never use on dragonite ---

This is an common and eternal request from the player base: Give us something else to spend our _old currency_ on, such as an exchange into _new currency_. And it’s not going to happen. The concept behind the introduction of new currencies is to keep the players running on the hamster wheel chasing the newest “shiny object”, either spending money on this game or at least investing the time into it as opposed to enjoying another companys venture. If players could convert the old currency into the new currency, such as the TC wishes for, that would allow the longtime players who have accumulated that old currency to sidestep the grind. The “groundswell of appreciation” doesn’t mean very much to them and is likely a very ephemeral benefit that will be forgotten approximately 0.6 seconds after most players benefit from it. Maybe even something that a very small number of players would benefit from – don’t take the veterans like yourself who post in these forums as being representative of the player base as a whole, many/most of whom probably are “ultra casuals” who don’t play very much and don’t share the “first world concerns” that get splashed on these message boards. Your request is largely incompatable with the developers’ interests. ---

Like it or not, new resources/currencies nonetheless do start all players on an equal level as each other. Yes, players with higher income accrual will be able to accelerate the grind (e.g. by spending Gems on Dragonite), but they won’t be able to _bypass_ it using stockpiled old resources. Also, fun fact that Diamonds are technically more expensive than Dragonite.
