Creatures both large and small

I am born of a sunny hue. And when I die yet to be born anew.
What am I?
I ride the four winds on a bony ride to reap souls here and there.
Who am I?
What am I good for? Absolutely nothing.
Where ever I go plants will die and the cry of the hungry will be heard across the land.
I ride the wind on a pale horse to bring pain to all I come near.
They say I will eat myself into an early grave.
I want what ever everyone else have.
I believe I am better than anyone else at anything.

I only realised by accident at some point, but the emojis count their actual letters towards it - e.g. โ: stuck\_out\_tongue\_closed\_eyes :โ - it just displays as a picture ๐. Same with quotes @Cyrup.
