# Failure to reconnect to Global on iOS

**Platform, device version and operating system:**  
iPad 6, latest iOS

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**  
When I’m playing on my iPad, if I leave it alone for a bit and the screen turns itself off, when I return to the game, there’s an even chance I’ll get a message telling me the game was unable to connect to Global Chat. It then stays disconnected on _all_ devices (ie: when I return to PC) unless I manually reconnect to Global.

So basically, the game disconnects from Global Chat whenever the screen times out (probably makes sense). But when I return to the game (no restart, just a screen wake-up), it frequently fails to reconnect to Global Chat. Haven’t seen this on Android (not that I play much on Android, any more).

No idea when it started. It happens so often now, I just don’t bother reconnecting.
