Just realised that, weird to see a goblin without an extra turn. I’d expect it to at least get a chance of an extra turn, boosted by doomskulls, or something. But it should really just get an extra turn.

I don’t think that matters, necessarily. I mean, the other delve goblins all copy the faction pattern but keep their extra turn, except kobolds which are more a half-goblin, and have half a chance for an extra turn. This troop is a golin/rogue, so unless that’s a new half-breed creature, called a skulker and we’ll see other skulkers (like a skulker mage or a skulker assassin), then it should follow the rules of being a goblin.
To be clear, the other delve goblins are
- Frostfire Goblin (boosted by frozen and burning enemies, gets extra turn)
- King Gobtruffle (boosted by poison and diseased enemies, gets extra turn)
- The kobolds (kobold, kobold knight, kobold magi, kobold thief and emperinaza) which are an exception
Plus we have several goblins that are the only ones that can do a specific thing, like Willi is the only one that can submerge itself and Stringfidler is the only one that can silence an enemy. They still get an extra turn.
I get that lethal damage is more powerful, but it’s unusual to see a powerful spell mean that the troop loses it’s core feature, rather than just costing more, you know?

Skulker shouldn’t have been a goblin if they were going to not attach the goblin extra turn gimmick. Pretty dumb to keep ruining any consistency or game lore that’s left in Gems of War. I’m still not over the Sunken Fleet/Elemental faction with a 50% mana start to Elemental Legendary getting an Undead troop as the expansion faction troop. 😮💨

If we’re going to go back into the troops as they existed in yesteryear…
… Goblin King (the original, the Legendary) didn’t have an Extra Turn attached to his spell for a very long time. It was eventually “fixed” by the developers, but the spell didn’t always read and behave the way it did now.

The most likely explanation is they forgot to give it the extra turn, so hopefully it’ll get fixed.

It did to start with as they had 4 weekend events that rotated but since arena went and gw came back sometimes the weeks are off.
There has already been one before that I can remember although not which one
