A Blighted Lands restriction should be interesting. We will have 2 empowered troops to help manipulate the board with purple gems and another one to give some skull pressure, but without an option to cleanse our troops, elementalist can overwhelm us.
Experienced players will find a way to get through this, but fighting 3× Takshaka teams, along with Chrysantherax and other powerful options can make all of our strategies go to waste _very_ quickly. Succubus Queen will be able to one shot troops most likely, or you can roll the dice on The Archduke, or just try to use Nocturnia for an easy to get troop that is reliable.
If an opposing elementalist gets 4+ gem matches, it’s going to be hard to recover with no cleanse. Orpheus medals only protect you from snap freeze and are useless once the hero gets going. I get it, you guys want to make it challenging, and I welcome it.🍺

I hope Gems of War devs treat you well. You’re way more positive than I am about this.
I just see a lot of purple mana generation with nothing to spend it on. People are going to point to Baphomet, but I’m not sold on it being the game winner.

I dont. 3× takshaka and the inexplicably included new dragon (seriously its no different than stellarix. Why is stellarix out but not this nuke?) Vs faction restricted teams is not “difficulty.” Its luck

I will admit that we are going to need a lot of luck on our side to win against difficult match-ups. Having empowered troops helps, but like @TheIdleOne mentioned, we only really will have Nocturnia or the Fiend Fire weapon to make use of those purple gems. (I really wish Succubus Queen used 🟣 mana).
But this is why we are here. To beta test for the developers. Lord knows that they have not simulated the types of battles that we have ahead…or if at all…

I think the only thing they do is try to dodge popular factions in the restrictions
