# Does Defending teams count under the 'PVP' umbrella?

Reason I ask - is I see cards that say ‘+Skills if Defending in PVP’ which would imply that Defending Teams which you can only set up if you enter PVP section are PVP.

I didn’t know if this should have been a bug or not - when I added Rock Spirit to the Defending team - no matter if we win or not he’s not getting any bonus gold.

Yet when we loose in Attack PVP we get the extra gold.

I have seen a couple of troops that specifically state that their skills apply when defending in pvp. So unless it says that, I would guess that they don’t.
