# Deleting forum posts

It’s not possible. I think this is because that would be akin to deleting all responder’s comments, which should not be at the mercy of the OP.

The best you can do is change your post title and body to something like “Disregard please,” and if you’re truly determined to prevent it from ever getting necro’d, petitioning a forum admin to lock your post.

Thanks for your answers everyone. I guess I will just delete the content and change it to post deleded
