# Czernobog has an incorrect troop role

Android
**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**
Czernobog has the “Defender” troop role, while its spell is purely generating: “Create 10 Brown gems, explode [Magic + 1] gems”. Just where is defending here?
**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**
When the troop appeared in the game, since the 18th of July '22.

I like this bug, when we get restrictions for using defenders, at least we’ll have a mountain crusher on a stick to use 😂

Hey all,
Czernobog is intended to be a Defender.
There was a discussion prior to if Czernobog were more a Defender or a Generator, but felt that Czernobog was more like Gorgotha (Defender) and less like Ragnagord (who is a Generator)
As Czernobog has the skull damage reduction as well as mana generation from creating Gems.
Just in case, there is a breakdown and Gorgotha as an example in the Troop Roles article;

It feels okay to me. Czernobog could reasonably be either Defender (due to 50% skull damage reduction) or Generator (due to generating mana). Since there isn’t a Defenator (or Genender) role, one of the two had to be picked, and it happened to be Defender. There doesn’t really seem to be much of a difference, both roles only get health and armor from medals.
