# Crescendo only gaining +! magic on casting

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened?**  
Disc says gain +2 magic when casting. the weapon only gains +!

**What are the steps to make it happen again?**

Cescendo scales with 1/2 magic. So your character is gaining the requisite magic, but the weapon’s damage only scales by 1/2.

Also i can not beleive i am the only one who shift 1 when typing. Crescendo working as planned unless it is giving +! which it should not do.
