# Could not support chinese input method on Nintendo Switch

**Platform, device version and operating system:**  
Nintendo Switch, 4.2.0.06

**What you were expecting to happen, and what actually happened:**  
I could not input Chinese on the army troop filter screen. So the whole filter function can not work on my Nintendo Switch.

**How often does this happen? When did it begin happening?**  
_Was this a once-off bug or has it been a consistent issue? Does it only happen after doing a particular game mode?_

**Steps to make it happen again**  
_Sometimes there are certain steps that can lead to a problem that may not be obvious!_  
_Example: I lose once in the Arena._  
_I then exit to the world map._  
_I then tap on Broken Spire on the map and then tap Arena._  
_Broken Spire’s quest loads instead of the Arena_

Hi Mada

I’m sorry for the delay.

Can you please clarify what the issue is if it’st still happening (after force quitting/restarting)? If you could share a photo of the issue taken from another device so I can understand better that would be great.

The screen shot of the IME when I want to input sth. on the army troop filter screen.

You can see the “Please enter text” hint as english but not chiense localization.  
Then below is the IME when I want to input sth. in the Switch system.

You can see the input box hint is change to chinese words also there is a PinYin input method and with a english input method in the red parts I marked.
