If you don’t waste gems chasing leaderboards (or pets) then they can really rack up. I believe he is also from the BNLT time of the GoW history. BNLT meaning of course Before they Nerfed Legendary Tasks. They used to have gems available in them. ---

They used to have gems available in them. Pretty much, yeah, except I wasn’t exactly getting gems from legendary tasks back when that was a thing. My gems would steadily grow and then get a big portion wiped out by bad luck through about late 2017, and have generally been an upward trend monthly since then. Building a gem stash over a huge amount of time isn’t hard when you get most feasible tributes and only buy in what is necessary _and_ have a low interaction with events due to having not that high of a playtime overall. And obviously no leaderboards, because theres no way I could afford the time expenditure to even reach top 100 on a single account (and no, not because I have multiple accounts, because most don’t even get any battles on most days). I’m sure my gem pile has been in the background various other screenshots I’ve posted since at least the 100k mark. The gems stashes come from what I’ve been saying to do all along about what is and is not a smart pick to either circle back to give you more purchasing power long term, unlock content, or give you tangible bonuses to be more efficient at that content, rather than using them to rush other milestones the game gives you but are functionally dead ends in the RPG progression loop. I’m missing a _lot_ of potential stats, even on my main (a sizeable number completely intentionally, in fact), but it only matters for content where I get hard-stat checked, which is already generally not fun for me so not something I care to play anyways. ---

I scrimped and saved for years to get a stash of 100k. Now I keep that as a minimum base amount and spend any gems over that amount on whatever I feel like. ---

I’m actually not sure what a lot is, since it’s all relative. Personally, I would think that the median for the entire population of players to be in the mid to low thousands. Then maybe top 10% to have over 50k, top 5% to have over 100k and top 1% to have over 200k. All just guesstimates of course. But that’s how I imagine the shape of the curve to look. ---

Last rare upgraded was Warhound; second-to-last was Warlock. 2. The “Casual PvP” team is actually a PvP defense, though it can function on offense as well. 3. Yasmine Purple does not contain Yasmine, and only has 2 purple troops in it. 4. Last time I checked, Bomb gets censored now. The team originally had Sunbird and Firebomb but has now been converted to a Soul Farming team. 5. I think its a bad UI design where I can’t display 2 rows of medals owned. It shows one and cuts off the number for the second row, which is the one thing that probably matters. Troops at Gold: 2 Mythics 7 Legendaries 14 Epics 19 Ultra-Rares 143 Rares 50 Commons 235 so far Next up, commons. ---
