Since Forest of Thones has many elemental (plant) troops, including Gladius for heavy aoe and Daughter of Yasmine for empowered conversion, as well as elemental bow, build around them is an option. The other troop can be Forest Troll (mana gen), Alderfather (double conversion and less importantly summon), Emberpetal (MalDag killer), and so on.
