Just wandered into Offtopic and saw your topic here. There are 4 consoles at my house. On any given day, the chances are good that _someone’s_ running a New Game Plus for one or more of the games from the DS series. The gameplay is great in the Dark Souls universe, but it’s the complex underlying lore which makes it so compelling. I sometimes wish for a Gems of War story arc that stimulates such a depth of pathos and rage in the soul that it, in turn, could draw in super fans of VaatiVidya’s caliber

**Luther:** All things crumble to dust in time. In a thousand years, who will remember you? Who will remember your children, or theirs? **Hero:** I see. **Luther:** All suffering, all pleasure, is ultimately meaningless. Be we heroes or monsters, it won’t matter to those who will never know us, generations from now. How much do _you_ recall of the heroes of yore? **Hero:** Okay! **Luther:** _Surely_ you have more to say on the subject. **Hero:** Let’s go! **Luther:** _Sigh._ The programmers really need to give you a larger text box. **Hero:** Oh? ---

All truth passes through three stages. _First, it is ridiculed._ _Second, it is violently opposed._ _Third, it is accepted as being self-evident._ Is there enough room in the text box for Schopenhauer? đŸ•¶ ---
