Draakulis makes a fairly capable front-line tank, being Armored, and also able to buff his Life through spell and traits. His spell scales up very nicely with Magic gained from both high-level Kingdoms & support troops, and he can outperform Crimson Bat early in a battle when he has 4 enemies from whom to steal life. As the famous bards Goblin & Sullivan once wrote: When I sally forth to seek my prey I help myself in an Undead way. I bite a few more necks, it’s true, Than a well-bred monarch ought to do; But many a king on a first-class throne, If he wants to call his crown his own, Must manage somehow to get through More dirty work than ever I do, For I am a Vampire King! And it is, it is, a glorious thing, to be a Vampire King. Draakulis will be the ONLY Mythic Troop available in chests for the next 7 days, so now is a great chance to make sure he’s on your team (after 7 days, the Horsemen will be rejoining him in chests). He is available in Glory Chests, Gem Chests (10x Chance), and VIP Chests (100x Chance, for VIP players only). **Balance Changes** We're trying out some small changes to Manticore & Spirit Fox: MANTICORE: He has had his mana drain reduced to a flat 7 points, and his Attack Buff now scales only from Magic, not from mana drained as well. He was undoubtedly a little powerful for a 9 mana cost (our original costing put him at 11, but we dropped him to 9 in order to make him more attractive, since mana-drain & self-buffing wasn’t seeing a huge amount of use. He still serves his original purpose of off-tanking and nullifying enemy threats, but it should now hopefully be a little quicker and easier to recover from being manticored! He will be available for refund shortly too. SPIRIT FOX: We buffed his (or her) mana drain by a couple of points to 7 in order to bring him (or her) in line with Spider Queen & Manticore who are all mana drainers at a 9 mana cost. Please note this Troop is currently only available to Steam, iOS and Android versions of the game. August troops go in on Monday, though we WILL have a changeover of Imps to Autumnal Imp in a few hours. ---

How does Draakulis scale with magic, if at all? At first glance the cost seems a bit high relative to Crimson Bat. Also, nice to see Manti the Terror toned down a bit. ---

If you look at Manticore and co, they have already been updated, so no reason to believe that “now in the chests” means at some future point in time. ---

“Chest Rewards Change in 1h” …though I guess it doesn’t say that for Glory chests. I do think it would be nice if @Sirrian posts a (GMT or whatever) time at which the event goes live in his annoucements though. As for the Manticore change, that happens often. The game files are updated (and buffs and nerfs apply) before the store changes its offers.
